I just read on some unscrupulous website that Tommy Mack is going to run naked across the field after we take home the MLS Cup this year!!!

Don't see when we could possibly play Madrid. The only weekend we have open is July 24-25, which would put a game between a Thursday night MLS game and then Tuesday night vs. Puerto Rico, which is suicide. Surely they'd want some air between that and the Milan friendly, so I don't think they'd put it on the 11th. Then Concacaaf champs league group stage would be midweek the 2 weeks after that.

    I'm guessing it's Ronaldinho.

Maybe it will be the announcement Steve hinted at: Picnicking is going to be allowed! Now that would be a big announcement.

He doesn't want to get embarassed by an in-form MLS team and out-coached by Bruce Arena.

They pay Beckham 5 million a year, and Ronaldinho 30 million a year? Really :)

We could afford it. Just Becks in In-&-Out burgers and this would be a done deal!:p

Now if this was Ronaldo, the In-&-Out deal would work for him too. Darn that retirement! ;)

That's a whole hell of a lot of money. I'm sure your sources are real nice people and all, who love their mothers and pay their taxes, but I'm not buying numbers like that without hearing them from Tom Payne.

Re: major announcement in the next few days

Milan fans have said in the past that AEG would need to cough up at least 50million before Ronaldinho goes anywhere, so 90 is a lot. However its less than the 250 Becks got. I wonder how much would be paid by endorsement deals exclusively if this awesomeness turns out to be true. We are already hard as FU*K to beat and imagine. My God imagine it people. We would be unbeatable with LD, Becks, Dinho and Buddle in the lineup. The cup would be ours for the next few years no problem...minus some flukey FC Dallas 2009 repeat crap.
    Dinho > Mike Magee
    Dinho > Alan Gordon
    Dinho > Bryan Jordan
    Dinho > Tristan Bowen
What the hell lets just be honest...Dinho > Buddle, Becks and LD
Not to take anything away from the Galaxy roster, but even at his current age you'd be hard pressed to find any active MLS players better than Ronaldinho.
I just have a hard time seeing Bruce pass up a weapon of that calibur if given the actual chance to deploy it.

Re: major announcement in the next few days

Please explain why a "weapon of that calibur" was given his walking papers by Barcelona and, if this story is to be believed, by AC Milan, with still a year on his contract for approximately $8 million (a relative bargain given their financial status). It also escapes me why he could not make his country's World Cup team.
