There is a mad amount of orange heels on the boots of all the players. I think Nike have got half the players wearing world cup vapors. I have never noticed anything like this before in a tournament

I would have expected some people teasing Australia on their EXTREMELY poor performance last night. I feel quite embarrassed to be honest, haha. Bad call by the ref towards Cahill. Questions towards the squad Pim put up. I just hope he's got something magical tucked up his sleeve that he's waiting to use in the next game :D

Australia were poor, but i think the majority of people feel a bit sorry for them! They certainly made Germany look like an awsome force though!!

Now England really need to finish top of their group so we don't face them until the probable semis!

I thought the refs have been amazing, apart from the Cahill decision, there have been very few, if any wrong offside decisions, or any decisions that have seriously changed a game. (On Cahill's I think was 50/50 on the yellow/red argument and just came down to the moment) There have been a few cards that seem a bit quick, but they've at least always been deserved for the foul that occurred. I've always been pro-cards though because the players almost always know what they're doing. Even if it's a players first foul, I feel like sometimes they add that extra bit of force to it knowing in the back of their minds they haven't made any such challenges before in the game.

Well done to Serbia and USA, serbia lucky and unlucky, in the only 5 games they played in the world cup they had 4 handball penalties, and lost 2 of those games only because of those penalties, USA got robbed of that last goal but in fair criticism they played a bit too rough, to much pulling, could have easily got 2, 3 more yellow cards.

Clearly a winner by Edu for the US. There's no legitimate reason to call that one back. Complete incompetence by the referee. Disgraceful, really.

If he didn't want to allow Edu's goal he could have just called a penalty for one of at least 3 US players that were wrapped up and taken down NFL style.

Watching that game after having just watched that idiot reffing the Germany game has put me off. The entire day of the WC has been ruined for me, I'm not even sure I want to watch the England match now.

It is just sickening that after playing themselves into a hole, the US shows such great heart and determination to pull back. They put in all that work and it is taken from them by a terrible call.

just saw on the news that the ref that made the call that screwed the US may be fired from reffing the rest of the tournament.

Uzbekistan for the win. Their ref that did the opening Mexico - SA game, and the England - Algeria game recovered some dignity for WC officiating today. Wish he could have been assigned to the Germany game so such an interesting fixture wasn't completely ruined.

    England = FAIL!

I just dont get it. Our players are great for their teams, And then as soon as you put them in the white of England they just forget everything they know!

Plus Capello is full of crap, saying he is only going to play players who are on form and regulars for their sides. And he has played half his team that have been injured for months so arent match fit, and SWP who is having an absolute MARE in and England shirt of late. Jamie Carragher is too slow and was a red card waiting to happen. It does not surprise me that he picked up a 2nd yellow last night and is now banned for the next game. Its rediculous!

I went to the England game last night...or should I say, the Algerian game.

What a bore. The best part was the England fans. They're immense. Too bad they were too hammered to sing by the time they got into the stadium...

Ghana has to be the luckiest country in the world cup, top of the table thanks to only 2 penalty goals, they just took horrible 30 meter shots, no flow through their center or wings, unlucky to australia. They outplayed them with 10 men.

Football + beer is the done combo in the UK!!!

Erm I'd say it's been the Mexican fans who have been the loudest. The friendly at wembley speaks for itself

at least, thats how it looked like in the highlights. he was surprised that the ball was even in front of him

so many goals. felt kind of bad for the north koreans

Hi! i havn't been here a while, but i wanted to drop in and start a rant, and this rant has to do with both boots and the world cup!

Is it just me, or does nike's whole world cup line of light purple and neon orange boots LOOK HORRIBLY OUT OF PLACE???????

Think about it. every team's kit are traditional, usually primary colors. Seeing all these neon orange boots clash with team's colors is visually like the noise created by the vuvulzas.

now, with adidas, at least they have the yellow/black colorway. whereas a team's colors might not be yellow, at least normal yellow dosn't look so bad with other 'normal' colors.

    HOWEVER ....

THIS COLORWAY DOES NOT GO WITH ANY TEAM KIT IN EXISTANCE. IN FACT, IF ANYTHING IT WAS MADE TO COMPLETELY CLASH WITH ANY TEAM KIT'S COLORS.

how selfish of nike, if you ask me.

the blue/red/white USA kit deserve blue/red/ and/or white boots
the red/blue/yellow Spain kit deserves red/blue/ and/or yellow boots.
the white/red England kit deserves classy white/red boots....

NOT PASTEL PURPLE AND NEON ORANGE BOOTS
    [IMG]

btw my opinion on colors actually do matter more than yours if you like that boot colorway, because i have a degree in graphic design SO THERE, NONE OF THIS "ITS SUBJECTIVE OPINION" B.S.

    ok rant over :D

They match the netherland orange kits lol. But i totally think this world cup is being destroyed by the refs and their calls.

You notice the vuvuzelas, just as much as you notice the boots. Great success by Nike. Marketing success.

On a side note, welcome back. Nice to have your input again.
