No I think he really is 5'9" my parents met him at a hotel in mexico (I forgot the name). He was staying there with his wife and daughter and my parents were in the pool area drinking when they saw him and asked him if he would take a picture with them. My dad is 5'6" and when I saw the picture salcido was clearly taller by a few inches. I think it was after the world cup in germany not sure. They said he was really nice and they talked for a few minutes. My dad talked to some of the employees about him and supposedly that hotel is where all the chivas players go to relax

I have a feeling after the WC Salcido is gonna be bought by a bigger club, I hope PSV don't put a big pricetag on him

Seriously, if their is one nation I hate it's France

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRDCzyGh0zs"]YouTube- Euro2008 - Nederland vs Frankrijk[/ame]

The only good thing that comes from France is the Tour de France

I was impressed with the fact that you guys played with your heart, defence was solid and Dutch media claim they've never seen Salcido play this good and think some decent team (like Marseille) will be mad enough to buy him after this match

They praised the Dutch defence, Maza/Moreno/Salcido, and liked Chichorito. But they talked more about how bad France was to be honest.

And El Guapo, it would be sad to watch a game only for some decent looking students who where lucky to get some free tickets from Bavaria. But I have to say, it was the highlight of the Dutch first 45 minutes against Denmark. :D

But congrats, I enjoyed your victory

    ehhh?

That's how Salcido got to Europe, by showing that same level of quality.

He sucked it up for a while when he first got to PSV but to say he has never played at this level is false.

Salcido's best level with the national team came in the 2005 confederations cup IMO..

Salcido's a beast man. you're opinion is not far fetched from being fact. He's already at the best club in the Netherlands so I don't see him downgrading to some mid level team, specially the way he's performing at this WC. so yes top 5 english team or top 4 spanish

agreed. age factor plays a big role in the transfer market. i.e a 20yr old salcido is good for a decade.. a 30 year old salcido maybe 2-3 years more. but this is obvious, just reminding those ppl on here making such statements.

but. a top team will get him if..
    -his price is fair.
-they dont mind making a low term contract.. maybe 3 years at most.
    -they need a LWB.

the most realistic scenario is that he stays at PSV, its a really good team in a great league. Maybe get a pay raise?

on the other hand. MAZA will see big name offers, maybe arsenal? low profile name, low price; with a high output in performance. it is their style.. and at 28yrs old hes good for a long term contract.

    The english love Maza.

Constant praise for his composure and well timed tackles. I think we'll see him in the EPL.

Agreed, which goes to show you that lots of peeps still not with it, meaning that they get scared with youth. I seen a kat say barrera was still raw, and i was like WHAT:eek:, hes playing in the world cup and hes raw? damn, my point is that we need to ship them earlier, 19-22 for me is perfect age.
