Ok, I get it now, Bob is the Jack McKeon of soccer. Jack did everything "wrong" and ass backwards during the improbable run by the Marlins in 2003 but we won anyways because the players had incredible heart. I'm going to pretend that Bob doesn't exist and get behind the players.

Who am I kidding, I can't really cheer against the team anyways, but for the record I still think Bob is a freaking moron and tactically inept and here is why.

He always sticks to his beloved formations instead of finding a formation to get his best players on the field at the same time.

We had an MLS bench player and a Mexican league player starting the game when we have Benny ( Denmark), Holden (EPL), Spector (EPL), and Edu (SPL) on the bench, hell even Beasley is a better option than Findley.

Benny, Edu, and Holden need to see the pitch, they are all quality players. People calling for Buddle and Gomez, why??? Success in MLS, MFL does not equate to success at the international level. The game is played at a much faster pace (in regards to MFL) and higher technical ability (in regards to MLS).

If we put these players in the game the US can go a long way, it always takes a tragedy for Bob to put in the right players.

Edu should start next to Bradley and when Gooch gets tired, move him to center back. Keep Benny for the late game sub and play with one forward to get Holden in the game. He's a baller.

We have quality on the bench, heck we have quality not even on the team that Bob refuses to use unless he's forced to. Why?

First, Mexico, with a bunch of Mexican league players on the field, looked pretty amazing.

But more important, he DID find a way to try out those you say are his best players. Feilhaber wandered a bit, didn't make any real mistakes, but didn't have much of the play. Edu earned a start. I'd love to see a 4-5-1 with Holden and Edu in place of today's Torres/Findlay. I think that's a midfield that dominates most good teams, despite having no one who rises to superstar level. 5 two-way, powerfully athletic players, all with tackling and whose ability to shoot has to be respected.

For me it was confirmed about a year ago when he claimed the Austrian 2nd division was better than MLS.

Can you link to the post of his from yesterday? I could use a laugh.
