Better not take the next game lightly and better go out for a win. It is basically a knock out game. If not, then you play Argentina, win then you can get somebody like SoKo.

Not sure that is a correct statement, how many games in a row have they beaten you? I believe it has been 3 or 4 tournaments in a row they have knocked you out of competitions. Different players and different times, sure but they have been the test team in the tourney since the Germs just lost. Avoid them at all cost. And stop fooling yourself, playing Argentina or Soko, real difficult choice. Agguire and the team are not a bunch of dummies, they know they would rather have a easier route.

Started drinking as soon as the game started and I kept the party going even after the Lakers won the title. I'm not even a Lakers fan but I was too happy that nothing could bring me down.

Why would a team with Messi, Kun, Higuain, and Tevez want to avoid Mexico? I think youre being a little ignorant of Mexico's recent history against Argentina. The goal was to get to a fifth game, facing them in the first knock out round makes that a lot more difficult to do.

 

While I think it's great that Mexico beat France and ultimately played better than they did against South Africa, I think this pivotal victory needs to be put in perspective.

This is probably the worst French team in World Cup history.

Mexico still needs to improve its finishing. Vela missed an opportunity, as did Salcido, and Barrera; the final touch or the right decision in front of goal still eludes Mexico. It should have been 3-0 or 4-0.

There were times in the midfield yesterday where 5-6 players were bunched in a 10 meter box of space against the sideline, if France wasn't garbage they could have opened play on the other side and taken advantage of a great opportunity.

Mexico's greatest revelation in preparation games, Efrain Juarez, has not really shown the same form and I'm not sure if we will see him on that same level, the moment seems too much for him. Vela has really been crap considering he should be on par with Gio's work on the opposite side of the field.

Argentina, on the other hand, has had Mexico's number since the 2006 World Cup. Yes, Mexico almost beat them, but almost only counts in horse shoes. And they routed Mexico in Copa America 2007. Their defense is somewhat questionable but so is Mexico's, and do we really want to get into a shoot out with a team that has:

Lionel Messi
Gonzalo Higuain
"Kun" Arguero
Carlos Tevez
Diego Milito

Celebrate the victory, but please don't start to act like US fans who think they won the World Cup already because they bunkered down and beat Spain last year.

In four years they've sent us packing 3 times....if the boys can get a softer team in the next round I say go for it. I like our chances against Uruguay much more than Argentina.

My hope is that we win 2-0 and that SA France draw...Uruguay face Argentina.

 

so we don't what to face Argentina so what are we doing? so we better start packing and go home as people have not seen what's happening in this WC anything can happen this Mexico team is different they are not scared of anybody. I really wish we could face Argentina and beat Uruguay the same time and get over that hump
