This world cup is advertised as the world cup of all african countries... To your mind who is the best african team so far ?

CDI. Ghana won, but I don't rate them... I reckon we have a good chance of beating them, and Germany should take them apart.

They might make it to the second round, but England will eat them for breakfast.

CIV disappointed me against portugal but they're clearly the most talented.

Agreed on CIV. Probably the strongest team from the continent.

Ghana and CIV are the ones i would pick.

I think Ghana-Germany will be very interesting to watch, and not as easy for Germany as Australia...

Egypt.... unfortunately they are not in world cup. But so far none of the african teams have shown their true quality. I hope they imporve as the tournament goes on.

I think Ivory Coast is the strongest African team. Ghana is good too.

Cameroon and Algeria were extremely disappointing. I have some hope left for South Africa and Nigeria, Ghana and CIV are clearly the best, unfortunately they are also in tough groups... in particular CIV might rue that draw, can't bet on Brazil winning on the last md vs Portugal if they are already through at the time.

You seriously think Australia can beat Ghana?

Well anything is possible after today, but I can't see it.

Ivory Coast are probably the best. Algeria the worst.

I'd go with Ivory Coast. Cameroon would be second. I was hoping for more out of South Africa today. Ghana and Nigeria both have the ability to make it out of the Group Stage, but that's about it.

They played the qualification, because world cup qualification was also the qualification for the Africa Cup. They totally failed.

Take a look at our HTH with them in recent years... it's pretty good, even when they've had Essien.

Our loss against Germany was so bad because of the way we played. Not saying we will beat Ghana, but can we? Yes, without a doubt. Pre tournament we were looking for 4-5pts to advance and 3 of those coming from Ghana. They're severely overrated.

This may sound mean but I'm starting to hope they don't advance in hopes that the horns go with them. Nothing against them personally of course but the horns are ruining the atmosphere.

Realistically I see only Cote d' Ivoire and Ghana making it out of the group stage. South Africa and Nigeria aren't mathematically eliminated, but they have a very tough task to get out of their groups.

All Nigeria needs to do is beat South Korea (by any score), and hope that the Argies beat Greece (by any score).

This would give Nigeria 3 points and -1 goal difference at worst. The Greeks would have, at best, 3 points and -2 goal difference, and so would the Koreans. They would go through as the second placed team.

Don't forget about Algeria and Cameroon. Although I think they will both be eliminated as well.

I lost faith in Cameroon after a loss to Japan. South Africa's elimination might spark a COMBO BREAKER. No chance for Algeria. Nigeria is close to extinction in WC. Drogba and Co. is uncertain [though I hope they will make it in with 1W-2T-0L] Ghana is the only team to me that actually guarantees a spot in 2nd Round.
