1950, england lost to a haitian goal....

took 40 years to get to the next world cup for the usa...

and another haitian was born in 1990 who now plays for usa...

numerologists abound, 20 years later, this new haitian rocks england again...

    is jozy in the stars??

Re: When are the starting line-ups for U.S. & England announced?

He's getting older, closer to slipping off of this mortal coil. Connecting with his roots is a way for him to feel connected. Also, clearly Lexi is a guy that likes to feel like he's unique. For his whole life just being involved in the soccer community was enough for him to feel unique. Now, there "soccer community" is getting more populous. So, apparently he's claiming Greece in a kind of neener-neener manner.

    No charge for the pop-psychology:)

if i had to bet, i'd bet on england to win....

    but i root against that...

england central defense and keeper HAVE NEVER PLAYED together...

that's NOT a good recipe going into any match...

still is gooch healthy enough NOT to get destroyed by rooney....

it'll all be about service.... limit that, and usa is in the game...

for me, i more concerned with a mental letdown after the match...

slovenia is next friday though, more than enough time to be ready for them

more he talks though, more you see why he sucked at managment in ny and la...

    he's more a pr guy...

the hercules gomez adulation was priceless though...

i'm waiting for mcmeanimem (sp?) to give him a pie in the face...

i did like martinez picks against italy and germany though....

serbia as a darkhorse was one of my picks too...

poor lalas gets outside of epl and la liga, and he barely knows the players...

chris fowler has surprise me, must have been a closest soccer guy for awhile..

you just don't pick it up in a couple weeks of study

Bradley was on the DP Show earlier and said that Altidore was starting. He didn't say anything about the remainder of the line-up

Elvis is dead, Hoffa is buried in the Nevada desert and I'm sorry, but England will win.

Pfft. Shows what you know. Everyone knows Hoffa's buried in the corner of the end zone in Giants Stadium.

    And Elvis? He's only resting...

    Just like this parrot. :D

Fowler is pure class. For me, his hosting of the tennis grand slam tournaments is the standard for excellence in sports broadcasting.

I've got to agree with this. Fowler knows his stuff. Never shows up to a broadcast unprepared.

Help! ABC/ESPN says game starts at 1:30 ET but US Soccer says game starts at 2:30 ET. I am working on Saturday and can't take off three hours (lucky to get 2!)... When is the kick off? I don't need to see the t.v. fluff.

Should be 2:30 ET. Same start time as this France/Uruguay game was.
