However much it costs, the beer will be budweiser, hooray for lovers of flavourless American lagers, the rest of us who enjoy a decent tipple will have to wait till after the game.

I notice that Budweiser have asked SAB to supply the beers for the fan parks, they obviously realised that in locations where people could come and go as they please they wouldn't be able to sell any of their tripe.

I agree 100%. it is a travesty that a host nation can not have its own beer and food at its world cup. i love to have a beer at a game. unfortunately i can not stand budweiser. i would rather drink water.

I believe they did sell other beer in Germany, just in a Bud cup though.

the' beer 'in the stadiums in Germany was Bud non alcoholic beer. Whilst it wasn't promoted / advertised as being non alcoholic - it was.

The fan zones sold local proper beer.

If previous World Cup (and Euro2004) are anything to go by - eat before you go to the stadium. The fan zones usually have plenty of food stalls selling local food - as well as the usual hot dogs etc.

Apparently they will be selling bunny chow inside the stadiums. You will even be able to pay for it with a cedit card, but only if it's Visa, Mastercard et al have been banned from all World Cup stadia.

Nando's will be at the fanfests also as will Castle but it will be without any labelling
Anheiser Busch and Macca's thought it beneath then to serve at the fan fests:D

Yes, they had at least one quality German choice, but not at every concession stand.
