Am travelling solo too, in CT from 17-24 June, staying at Breakwater Lodge in V&A - think you're only across the road chunnerz.

Check out what's been arranged for a get together on 18th in CT https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1394323&page=25. Sign up if you're interested to get idea of numbers, should def be an experience to remember!

Have ticket for Fatboy Slim on night of 18th in CT http://www.coolbritanniasa.com/line-up.html would be happy to meet others going to this if interested.

Other than that, would be up for a wine tour, city tour, mountain cable etc or general Fan Fest footie watching merriment on any of the other days and take in the atmosphere! :)

I arrive on the 18th mornining from joburg with a friend and will be staying at 21, sea point ocean hurst apartment. Not far from where you guys will be staying. Plans for 18th seems to be all sorted thanks to X and the rest of them who are putting together a super meetup. I would be attending the FBS concert after the game too! As for the next 3 days i'm in capetown, we've only got tickets to that go capetown sightseeing bus trip and the cableway and robben island trip(on 20th morning). I'm also attending the Por- N korea game on the 21st and somewhere between all of this want to squeeze in the bikes and wine though i'm not sure as to how much time would it take and how tired would it make someone if you're not that much of a biker http://www.bikesnwines.com

16th seems to be an off day for many, so I am heading to Lion Park in the morning and Carnivore Restaurant in the evening. Maybe watching SA vs URU there or at the Fan Park in Sandton. Anyone else who wants to join, more than welcome.

I hear you. They are pushing $175-$200 and could be more if you buy a dvd of the dive. I have this as one thing I would like to do in Cape Town. Let me know as well if you know of anything.

Also that BikesnWines looks legit! What of the three packages were you going to do if you did it?

I too don't have any friends in a position to join me in south africa, but I didn't do too much persuading, I'm more than happy to travel alone.

I'd do the 9km vineyard meander if only it did not take up more than half a day provided we start early. I'm completely choc o bloc on the 18th,19th and 20th and free till 1:00 pm on the 21st. I'm not too sure if any of them are half a day ones. Will find out about sky diving and keep you posted should i get any details.

    Hi guys,
Tried to weed through all the replies and catch up, but that proved pretty tough. Hoping someone can fill me in on the following:

    1) Are there any suggestions for a place to stay the night of the USA/England game in Joberg? Any generosity with housing in Joberg can be reciprocated at my place in Cape Town.

    2) Is there anything organized for Friday Night or Sunday day? I'm living in Cape Town and am debating whether to come up for the whole weekend or just the one night.

If no one is joining you then you can come with us - Restaurant with lots of african dishes for lunch and you can do a game drive at the Rietvlei game reserve in the late afternoon - they have some lions there. Then you can go to the Pretoria fan park at night - plan B.

    Hi everyone!

I'm also a solo traveler. Here's my schedule:

    June 28 - July 1: Cape Town (game 56)
    July 2 - 4: Johannesburg (games 58 and 60)
July 5 - 10: Safari near Kruger (Nkorho Lodge)
July 10 - 15: Johannesburg (hopefully game 64, no ticket yet... will buy a ticket from anyone whose friend bailed on them :)

I'd be interested in meeting up with anyone who's going to be there when I am.

Also, if anyone is going to/near Kruger when I am, I'd be interested in sharing the drive there. It seems to be a 6-ish hour drive, which I think would be relatively inexpensive, just car rental and gas -- but I'm slightly hesitant at driving it by myself -- or a pretty short but really expensive ($850-ish) flight.

Yup, looks like I'll be going to this one solo now. Possibly with a spare ticket. Anyone up for a PE meet up?
