Zambrotta the captain. Ties Facchetti with his 94th cap tonight.

    Looks a 4-4-2, or 4-4-1-1:

    Marchetti
    Maggio - Bocchetti - Chiellini - Zambrotta
    Cossu - Gattuso - Palombo - Montolivo
    Quagliarella - Pazzini

The 2-men midfield is simply not viable, too much space for the opponent, Inler was completely alone.

Gattuso is on the decline, but he's still a bull out there.

    pretty positive half overall.
That goal doesn't go in with Buffon in the net.
It looks to me that we're much more stable with 2 defensively capable midfielders in there.
I think swap Gattuso with De Rossi and we could have a good partnership.
Montolivo also had some quaity passes. Zambro is slow, but we already knew that.
Team cohesion isn't going to happen overnight, but we're making strides.

Gattuso, Montolivo, & Maggio are bright spots. Really surprise that Gattuso is still a BULL & MOBILE after all the things I've see this year's with Milan.

Zambrotta just can't do it anymore!! Let's try Criscito in 2nd half. And put Marchisio for Palombo.

There is still no link-up between MID and FWD. Probably is because they are playing back-ups.

We're in trouble if we lose Pirlo and Camoranesi for a long period. If I had to choose to replace, it would be Cossu and Candreva/D'Agostino.

    FORZA AZZURRI!

Good work from Maggio and Zambrotta in the back. Maggio made some quality runs and a decent pass to pazzini who couldnt get his head on it...

Gattusso looked half decent out there, you could tell he was charged up. By the end of the half I could tell he was fading and was out of gas.

Other than Quagliarella's ugly goal, he hasn't done too much out there...

The long balls from our defense to our forwards need to stop as there getting nowhere!

We need to seriously improve on keeping possession and to start actually completing passes....

Ugly or not, at least he scored. He's not even a striker. Who was at fault for their goal? DeSanctis should be the 2nd keeper IMO.
