Sebastien Squillaci jumps higher than Frederic Dehu and smash the ball on the right pole of parisian goalkeeper Jerome Alonzo, then rebound. He can only touch the ball after it passes the goal line. 1-0 for Monaco 32' center from Mendy to Pauleta who volleys the ball between Monaco defender's legs but Roma send the ball in corner. Corner kick from Daniel Ljuboja, very sliced.... Roma deflects it with his left arms to corner line but Gaby Heinze runs to smash the ball in goal with an incredibly small angle. 1-1 2nd half Well, game's become a little bit weird. A lot of fouls, some yellow cards... 62' Free kick from Rothen and as first half, Squillaci takes the ball with his head. The ball rebounds on Alonzo's body then on Squillaci right leg who kick the ball in Monaco's goal.... 2-1 ???? no ! Off-side says referees.... (NO OFFSIDE says video) 64' Mendy takes the ball with his 2 hands like a volleyball player. No expulsion, no yellow cards !!!! Deschamps is furious! 65' PSG is suffering a lot and Monaco doesnt quit parisian field. 66' Vahid replaces Mendy (good idea!) 72' Rothen pitches the ball above PSG's defense to Giuly who softly volleys ball in Alonzo's hands. Nice but offside (really) 77' Rothen centers to Giuly's head (yes !!! its possible!) but above goal. 78' Hugo Leal replaces young Romain Rocchi 80' Morientes (0 shots on goal tonight) is replaced by Dado Prso... Monaco still has a lot of occasion to score. 82' Ljuboja is replaces by Reinaldo for PSG 83' Zikos sends Giuly between PSG defenders who tries a little pitched lob on Alonzo but ball runs on the left of Alonzo's goal. 87' Sorin runs on the left side then centers to Heinze who lets the ball pass between his legs to Reinaldo. He can shot but he heels the ball to Pauleta... A monaco's defender takes the ball... Nice bresilian style but very useless !!! Match ended .... Good result for PSG. Good result for Lyon too !!!
Only caught the last 1/2 hour of this good match! First of all, PSG should have lost this match. The refs were horrible. Blowing that obvious no-call on Bendy was unthinkable, PSG should have been down to 10 men. Giuly is a wild man...flying thru the air everywhere. Monaco outplayed PSG thoroughly from what I saw. BTW, They both have great looking kits.
I think I made le referee a believer when he see moi perform le superior cheering on technique, he was le very friendly man for PSG in the 2nd half. Le PSG of course deserved to win this le match, only it was hard to see this for some, mais somebody with le trained football eyes, like moi, can see that le PSG deserved 3 points easily.
