Every once in a while my cat acts like her tail is some disembodied creature that has attacked her butt. They get into fights, she even tries to stare down the evil butt gobbling creature.

Anyone ever met anyone who snogs all their friends to say hello? Saturday was one of the weirdest nights of my life and involved having to perfect the "ah feck they want a not, go for the hug" move. Reconsidering the friendship, mainly for the avoidance of cooties. ICK!
I'm not really touchy feely when it comes to strangers, so I feel you on that p-nutz. Luckly for me I don't have one of those friends.
I'm not even that comfortable with hugs from friends lol. Found it very odd that 5 or 6 people were all perfectly happy with it. Not something I expected being out with a slightly older crew, I thought people grew out of such things! Must be old before my time!
