Sorry, we fly into CT in morning from PE, pretty much straight to hotel and then the game, so no spare time.

Besides which I'm way to old to be running around!! :)

Sounds Great! Count me in. I'll bring along a pair of boots for the kids. It's sounds like a lovely setting...well done for organising this. :)

I can play anywhere, left or right, defence, midfield or attack :D. Mainly played left or right back. I haven't played for a while so will have to get some fitness work done

I'm defo up for this - the location sounds well worth a visit, and will be great to meet with local kids. Thanks for organising.

Only issue is I'm a non-football playing female so I'll volunteer to be the official "team photographer" if you like and record the moment for posterity. ;) Really don't think I'd be much help on the pitch!

Will see about football boots or something else for the kids....

For those in CT on night of 17th (I fly in late that night) - DJGrizzlyPaws, MrGale79 and anyone else interested - how about a couple of sweet sherries somewhere in town as a pre-match warm up? :)

Tee hee....you'll surely regret those words after a Rooney-esque torrent of abuse for not passing to me quick enough :D

Rooney England shirt is packed in bag already btw

Will football boots or football trainers be better for this pitch ?

Is Long St in the centre somewhere? Flight arrives in late so would have to get taxi to accommodation first and then taxi to centre.

What time do the bars stay open till??

Till you stop buying drinks - no hard and fast rule. Most of them go till about 1 or 2 in the week and 4 or 5 on a weekend. During WC they might stay open longer(!)

    You will NOT go thirsty!

Been following the meeting up thread through the thread on TA forum where girtX (X) posted this. I'm really excited about this and i'll be carrying boots and football shirts. Had also suggested people to carry their national jerseys which we could exchange amongst ourselves after having the kids sign on them. I will be bringing along another friend with me for the meetup. We'll be staying at Ocean hurst , sea point which i'm guessing isnt far from camps bay.

Found out about the Wits meet and game on the 20th from Gronum, as my son and I are planning to stay at her place (along with -X-?) on the 19/20th and go to the Brazil v IC game later. Definitely looking forward to meeting people. If there's any space in the team, I'd love to play. My usual position is either left wing or up front. I'm long on stamina and still quite quick (especially for someone over 40!), though sadly my skills (which were never devastatingly impressive) are pretty rusty! My son Alex (half my age) would also be up for the game.
