Forget about it. We're talking about somebody who didn't watch his "own" team because it was "boring".

What bullsh*t, i can't believe we're still talking about this.

Again where did I tell you which team to support? I left the choice entirely up to you ;)

Some of the "regulars" would take exception to this sentiment but I'm dying to know, for my own benefit, when I avoided confronting my fellow regulars

I'm sending him a clear message... JUST WIN, BABY!
Not a Mourinho fan, not at all, but he's coming and like YS, maca, etc...I can't fight the inevitable and will support him while he's coach of RM. We have such attacking talent, I fail to believe we'll be ultra-defensive.

To be fair, our style of play this season has been pretty damned boring at times. That's just the truth. Flashes of brilliance? Yes, but a general lack of teamplay and chemistry especially between midfield and attack. If Jose can sort that out and organize the defense better, we'll be looking good.

I'm really curious to see how he gets Ronaldo and Kaka to due more tracking back, good luck with that.

As of today, I am officially onboard the Mourinho train, but only as long as it's parked at the Santiago Bernabeau. After that, all bets are off. :)

My guess is he'll do like he's always done in the past: either you help defend with the rest of the team, or you're the first person substituted when we're up in the 70th minute and intend to defend from there on out.

Looking forward to seeing how MARCA and Mourinho get along.

Oh come on, MajorDuh, that would never happen. We're Madrid.

How often are we up in the 70th minute? :D

It's more like "How often do we have to start a comeback win in the 70th minute?" ;)

I would say only difference is that Serie A was stronger than La Liga this year. 75 goals is still a huge amount to score in any league.

No. Looking at what other people say huh? Speak for yourself a$$hole

Oh and your not so smart. I said "granted, we scored 102 in league alone" but like i said, Inter scored 75 goals in a more competitive league this season.

We was trouncing teams 4/5/6 goals to 0 on some occasions.

You can argue all day long on just how Barce and Real got stronger, fact is, rest of the league was a whole lot weaker than last year too. Deal with it.

Funny enough, the pitch of the Bernabue looked like that thanks to an Englishmen. Real Madrid head groundsman, Paul Burgess. Apperently the best in his field of work. He has won the Best Greenkeeper Award of the Premiership five times.

Anyway, to answer you question; Yes, Spain is co-bidding with Portugal.

Wow, looking at the current financial health of the two countries, it doesn't look like a wise decision by the Spanish officials to tie their bid to Portugal. But hindsight is 20-20...

Having had the gross misfortune of having probably read the majority of your odd posts in here, I don't know why your stupidity still comes as a surprise to me.

For what he is doing right now he doesn't deserve to get his name spelled correctly... but i'd rather have trouble spelling people's name than to give false statistics about goals scored, or to compare our attacking with the likes of inter's anyday

Do you feel strong and mighty now...

You'll feel even stronger if you can actually show us how smart you are and point out the stupidity in my post using a well presented argument.

The funny thing is that you sit there and type this and that... while the majority of the people spending their euros to watch madrid at the bernebeu isn't pleased with mourinho's arrival.

So if you can't engage in a debate sit and criticise if it makes u feel better heh ;)

    Calm down Kweyork.
Lets see what happens with Mourinho.

    I believe,
    1. Its difficult to play boring game with the players we have.
    2. Morinho himself knows that ugly winning football won't be allowed in Madrid
    3. Mourinho has never got any attacking football side in his career.
    4. Our defenders are not as good as Chelsea/Inter, so he can't park a bus
and defend 1-0 or 2-1 lead always.

He can change his tactics with our club.Well if not we know what will happen with him.Lets give him a try and see what he can do with this team (This could be happened with MP also :().

But as a coach Mourinho is proven good enough.

Lastly if you support this team, I request to support JM till he is our coach.
You can criticize him if you want but it seems you are not supporting him at all and this hurts as he is the current coach. If you are a true supporter (Which I believe you are),I demand support him as long as he is here(Even if he doesn't suit you).

Mourinho may not use Defensive tactics in Madrid

Well, surely your dear Pellegrini just about lit Bernabeu with an attacking force unseen before. Did you actually watch our games? With at least a little objectivity? We showed only moments of fine play, and that was most of the time coming from a very individual quality, not team play. We could not impose ourselves in very many games, nor could we pressure when needed. Mostly we didn't have chemistry and it stayed that way the whole season. Even against Barcelona we played better at Camp Nou than at the Bernabeu. Pellegrini just couldn't figure it out, nor would he in the future, based on simple inductive reasoning.

You know I would take you more seriously as the defender of attacking football if you weren't the same poster who once wrote this with regards to the second leg at Lyon:

Apparantly not. Let me know if you need some more examples, or better yet you could just read the forum and see them yourself.

Now he's my dear Pellegrini huh...

Did i watch the games - sure, at least twice.

I downloaded pretty much all our games this season and watch them periodically. Watching the entire season again it is evident that their has been an evolution in how we play. I can remember one particular game early in the season we were playing a 4 2 4 formation and we were just dis jointed and performed terribly. But we have improved a great deal since then.

You say we only show moments of fine play over the season and that was mostly from individual quality but i beg to defer to some extent. Yes you are right that we show only hints of fine play but this is mostly for away games where just have to grind out a victory and c.r. or higuain shows up to clinch victory. But for majority of home games in the last half of the season we put on fine displays as a unit creating many chances on goal (e.g. villareal and sevilla). Many home as a matter of fact come to mind where we played as a team and the bernebue was happy with the preformance.

To say we could not impose ourselves for many games is just ludicrus though. Even the games we tied and lost we imposed ourselves and created many goal scoring chances.

    I miss Capello.

There I said it. If Mourinho can take us back to boring, defensive, winning football, then I'll be the first on the wagon. It doesn't matter how attacking you are if you don't win, because we'll be constantly chopping and changing and ruining any semblence of continuity we build in a season. For the team to grow, they need to be able to gain cohesion with each other, and the only way to do that is win titles.

I know that seems backwards, but as soon as the guys at the top stop freaking out and stop constantly buying the biggest names every year, replacing damn fine players in the process, the team will never be able to build a dynasty. The only way to get them to stop, I believe, is for the team to be successful.

    It's a pretty weird theory, I know.

^ We weren't a result machine on capello's last season, heck by christmas the team looked in ruins, after bayern it looked like everything would go to hell, for all that i enjoyed that season, we were extremely lucky. Saying that, I really wish we've kept Capello.
