Well hello...

 

The waiting room in my local auto dealer has Fox News on and a few days ago I was subjected to the Glenn Beck show. I refuse to watch it at home, but figured I might learn something by checking it out -- mostly things like how he speaks with such authority -- although in an endearing way -- with lots of graphs and shit on blackboards. It makes what he says seem to be true. It's actually a brilliant method of spreading propaganda.

And so I'm watching it and found out that the interconnected world financial system is a progressive plot that was started over a hundred years ago to enslave people. The founding fathers never intended for the US to be part of any global system -- especially one involving finance.

Holy Shit! Was there anything the founding fathers didn't think of? And so now I have to cancel all my business trips overseas and get rid of all the things I own that were made in other countries. It's what the founding fathers wanted.

Really? I see an opportunity, here. I must keep my eye out for a lot of cheap goods made by dirty furriners on sale on eBay or Craigslist.

I'm inventing a Godwin Drinking Game to make Glenn Beck more entertaining. At the very least if I can get it to become popular in hyperconservative circles I can get the batshit crazy people to start spending money again and save the economy.

 

Makes sense: a commencement speaker that never graduated college giving a speech at a fake university. I'm sure the auditorium is right down the hall from the "science" department.

 

Problem with Beck is that he's not crazy enough to make it worth my while to watch. Now this guy, I'd watch:

I notice that one thing Beck didn't do is refute the claims.

 

They always seem to have Beck on when I'm at the gym. Yesterday (unless I was misreading his argument) he was saying that net neutrality was socialist.

 

Beck is stupid. Anyone who's looked at Wiener can see that he has a pencil neck, why try to ridicule his nose?
