Diego Diego is asking for 8 Million GBP, donovan is much cheaper and just as good of an attacking force. In the gold cup game last summer, donovan outplayed diego.

Donovan outplayed Diego? Based on what exactly? I've never been a fan of Nicky Butt. I think the TAG demanded to sign him simply because they want to see something get done. Most likely, if we do make an approach for Van Bommel and Diego, it would happen in the summer time.
Donovan played in the middle against Mexico. Arena actually told him to track Torrado to disrupt Mexico's transition from defense to midfield. Reyna played on the right.
