He's getting a lot of print time with his commentary. Obvious he's got the benefit of some seniority but all his talk means beans if his team doesn't produce
This sounds like a problem with the keeping. Keller *may* need to do a better job of organizing his back line. Sachin
whew!!!! Macca in on goal and puts it wide City starting to reassert themselves and put pressure on Spurs goal
1-1 in the end - good 2nd half. Reyna - very good match from Claudio. Should get some MOTM attention - along with Sun Jihai. Held ball well in midfield, distributed well wide and to forwards. Vintage Reyna stuff - Keegen will be pleased. Keller - solid, did not need to do all that much. Goal was not his fault. Made some decent stops/tackles in dangerous situations. City (especially Macken) spurned chances they should have troubled Kasey with.
So was The Independent's writer. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/manchester_city/story.jsp?story=484770 Towards the end of the post-match article... Since so many of Keegan's squad are internationals over the age of 30, it is difficult to understand why, Claudio Reyna apart, none is a natural leader. "There are a lot of international players here but there are also a lot of new faces," Keegan said. "If there is a shadow hanging over your head, it can get to the most experienced player."
Anyone know anything about the incident in question here? Or, more importantly, is there anything to it? Brown furious about alleged elbowing incident -- The Guardian Clip here reads... Michael Brown has accused Manchester City midfielder Claudio Reyna of elbowing him during Sunday's fourth round FA Cup tie. Tottenham's new signing said he was amazed that none of the officials, including referee Steve Dunn, saw the incident during the 1-1 draw at the City of Manchester Stadium.
I find a lot of humor in this. I watched Brown's first match for Spurs against Liverpool. He was kicking everybody. I couldn't get the word "hack" or the phrase "here comes the yellow card" out of my head whenever he was involved in the play. Coming from D1 I can understand this style of play, but to whine because you caught an elbow after showing your love of a hard, physical match just makes him seem like a big baby. I don't think he is a dirty player, but I am sure he was on Claudio's ankles the whole match. I am not condoning the elbow, or saying he deserved it, but he shouldn't be surprised by players retaliating to his D1 tactics. I heard a rumor this match would be on FSW today. Can anyone verify this?
Watching the FSW replay right now, and it looked like he was looking to his left for Anelka and just missed the pass. Of course, that doesn't make up for the fact that he should have just touched it over Keller. Still waiting for the mystery elbow.
