Boooooo nothing within 750 miles of me. Typical, come on English sides in Tampa, Miami, Atlanta or something do-able. Please.
The Rangers pulled out of the American tour. Most likely from that Boston article bashing their fans. What a shame, that would have been the best game of the summer. I'm loving that more squads are coming over to the US in summer. It makes sense to play teams that are getting better and in form!
Not sure if this is worthy of inclusion or not, but before the game at Toronto , Bolton are playing Charleston Battery. Sat July 17th. http://charlestonbattery.com/boltonpromotion.html edit: and apparently the Charlotte Eagles on July 14th http://www.bwfc.co.uk/page/General/0,,1004~2050143,00.html I figure if we're listing both MLS related friendlies and all international friendlies that it might be worth listing any lower division international friendlies.

Add: Man City @ Portland Timbers on July 17th at Merlo Field on the campus of the University of Portland. Due to limited capacity, tickets for the match against Manchester City are exclusively available to Timbers full-season ticket holders; the exhibition is included in full-season packages as Game C.
10K a game? summer friendlies vs Boca Jr and Man City? you guys are already more of an MLS team than some MLS teams nobody had notified me of the POR v BOCA game but i saw it when i did a ticketmaster scan to update the thread. the POR v MAN CITY game wasn't on there but if it is for season ticket holders only that makes sense. why not at PGE for more fans? thanks for the heads up. i will add it after i get a few other updates.
Well the management made a non-public "promise" to us the supporters of PTFC a few months back that they were going to try an arrange a high level friendly "against a top EPL team" . They said it would be a thank you for backing the club in the MLS bid and would be made for season ticket holders only. That was the word on the street. Lot's of us already knew about this and in fact knew it was Man City in the works, but we could not really say anything until the official word was out. Why at UofP? Well because it is a thank you to the season ticket holders, we have about 5,000 full-season ticket holders & UofP holds about 5,000 (great fit, eh?). Also it so happens the baseball team is on a 9 day home stand at that time. Good stuff. It's going to be one great party this summer in PDX. EDIT: It also helps that the Nike WHQ is located here & the North American HQ of ADIDAS is also here in Portland. In fact we get alot of international teams and players through PDX for various Nike & ADIDAS stuff. I'm assuming this has helped & will help us in the future as the club rolls into MLS. One of the main promotion management guys for Man City is from Portland and used to work at Nike.
cant wait for the Man City/Club America game...last year CA played AC Milan @ the GA Dome...boy was that a party
Heard a radio commercial for it on the way home this afternoon. Only bad thing about it is its the same night (and time) as the MLS All-Stars/Man United game.
Any TV info on any of these games? Red Bulls vs Juventus is on FSC and so is Seattle vs Boca Juniors the following week, along with Chicago vs AC Milan.
When they were talking about the United tour during the Houston-KC game on FSC the other week they had the FSC logo next to the KC game.
Welcome to KC for most of the Wizards existence. the United game this year is only the 4th international club friendly here since 96. Wizards vs Veracruz 96, Wizards vs Atlas 08, Chivas vs Club America 09
I suspect there will be friendlies in Dallas. There usually are. Whether with FCD at PHP, or mega-friendlies at Jerry-world. Get Chivas versus any big club in Europe, put it in the Jerry Death Star.......and the game would sell out instantly. People (aka SUM) knows this.
No video, but the Revs will have an audio broadcast on their website for Wednesday night's match against Benfica. Speaking of that, Benfica released their travelling roster: GOALKEEPERS (3): Júlio César, José Moreira, Quim DEFENDERS (5): Luis Filipe, David Luis, César Peixoto, Sidnei, Miguel Vítor MIDFIELDERS (5): Pablo Aimar, Airton, Ruben Amorim, Javi Garcia, Filipe Menezes FORWARDS (6): Nuno Gomes, Alan Kardek, Éder Luis, Mantorras, Javier Saviola, Weldon
Seems to me that if MLS want to attrack more people, they should televise all these International Friendly games.
