Serie A (updated) Sunday May 9 8:55am ET - Inter Milan vs Chievo - FSC, FSE & RAI International 8:55am ET - Roma vs Cagliari - FS+ & FOXsoccer.tv [4pm ET SDD on FSC] 8:55am ET - Genoa vs AC Milan - ESPN3.com 8:55am ET - Juventus vs Parma - ESPN3.com Time TBA SDD - Palermo vs Sampdoria - RAI International
EPL Talk is reporting that Chelsea-Wigan is going to be on FSC while Manchester United-Stoke City is going to be on FS+. I guess this leaves either the Spurs or MCity matches for ESPN2? Or, if Tottenham wins tomorrow, maybe Arsenal-Fulham?
I don't know why anyone would post listings from ESPN3.com. That offering has so much potential but the execution is just horrible. Out of twenty times I've tried to watch something that was on there, I think there's only been perhaps 3 times when it operated as it should. This morning, I went to watch the NAC v Twente match (as I purposely did not learn the results from the weekend). Only, I can't see that match - when I click on the link for it, I get taken to Valencia-Xerez. So, I try watching a weekend match from the German Bundesliga. Nope. I still get taken to Valencia-Xerez. What a waste. Once again, ESPN finds ways to screw stuff up that people in other countries can do with ease. How come I am able to watch complete matches in the Swedish Second Division without any problem, but ESPN hires website designers that would fail out of my local Vo-Tech web design class? Pitiful.
There have been a few bugs I think with the new beta version of the ESPN3 website. You used to be able to bypass it and go to the old site and watch games after it launched last month, but yesterday it took me to the new site for the Valencia v Xerez game. I didn't have any problems with the Twente game watching the replay on Sunday, strange.
Based on data released by FSI and ESPN, Inc. as of May 5: EPL Sunday May 9 10:55am ET - Chelsea vs Wigan - FSC (HD) & FSE 10:55am ET - Manchester United vs Stoke - FS+ (HD) & FOXsoccer.tv 10:55am ET - West Ham vs Manchester City - ESPN2 1pm ET SDD - Burnley vs Tottenham - FSC 1pm ET SDD - Arsenal vs Fulham - FS+ == No TV scheduled for the U.S.: Hull vs Liverpool, Wolverhampton vs Sunderland, Bolton vs Birmingham, Everton vs Portsmouth, Aston Villa vs Blackburn (all 5 are meaningless matches.) == BSkyB (Sky Sports) in the UK will have Chelsea vs Wigan and Man Utd vs Stoke. One would assume that those two matches will be the only ones with HD feeds available to international broadcasters. == Let's see whether FOXsoccer.tv can handle the load this time around. It couldn't for Man Utd vs Liverpool on March 21. == ESPN2 may end up with a meaningless match (and likely only in 16:9 SD) if Tottenham were to defeat Man City on May 5.
meister is a masculine German noun that can mean "master" (craftsman), foreman (of a factory), or "champion" (in sports or competitions). Der meister is the correct singular form. Die meister or die meisters are both correct plural forms. In the UEFA Champions League anthem (in a combination of German, French, and English), die meister is in the lyrics because it is a direct translation of "the champions". Die Meister Die Besten Les Grandes Équipes The Champions! Translation into English: The Champions (plural, German) The Best (plural, German) The biggest teams (French) The Champions! == Recall that ESPN (U.S.), ESPN2 (U.S.), and ESPN Classic (U.S.) are not permitted under the sublicense agreement to broadcast a La Liga match whenever GolTV (U.S.) is broadcasting a La Liga match live. Real Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao will be live in English to U.S. viewers only at ESPN3.com
EPL (updated) Sunday May 9 10:55am ET - Chelsea vs Wigan - FSC (HD) & FSE 10:55am ET - Manchester United vs Stoke - FS+ (HD) & FOXsoccer.tv 10:55am ET - Arsenal vs Fulham - FOXsoccer.tv [1pm ET SDD on FS+] 10:55am ET - Burnley vs Tottenham - FOXsoccer.tv [1pm ET SDD on FSC] 10:55am ET - West Ham vs Manchester City - ESPN2 FOXsoccer.tv will offer Burnley vs Tottenham and Arsenal vs Fulham live. Arsenal essentially needs 1 point to secure 3rd place (due to a +10 advantage in goal difference compared to Tottenham). Fulham is expected to field a "reserve" side in order to rest the "starting XI" for the UEFA Europa League final on May 12. The only realistic way Tottenham can finish 3rd is for Tottenham to win and for Arsenal to lose. ESPN2 ends up with a meaningless match (to fulfill the 48-match sublicense agreement with FSI) because Man City can finish no better than 5th. == No TV or legal streaming Internet video scheduled for the U.S.: Hull vs Liverpool, Wolverhampton vs Sunderland, Bolton vs Birmingham, Everton vs Portsmouth, Aston Villa vs Blackburn (all 5 are meaningless matches.) == FS+ will have an EFL League 1 match: Saturday May 8 9:55am ET - EFL League 1 - Leeds United vs Bristol Rovers - FS+ & FOXsoccer.tv Leeds United will need a victory to finish 2nd and earn automatic promotion to the EFL "Championship".
Sorry, huhe888, but you're mistaken: Madrid - Bilbao is being shown on ESPN2 http://soccernet.espn.go.com/tv/listing?date=20100508&cc=5901

Totally agree. I usually watch the ESPN360 feed through my tv with an S-Video cable. The old setup (360) would allow me maximize the picture to a full screen. However, the new beta set up (ESPN3) doesn't let me get to the portion of the screen where I can make it full screen. It's very frustrating as I don't like watching things on my computer screen. Anyone else notice this?
Can't you still watch the old 360? I watched the KHL finals maybe a few weeks ago and I just ignored the new set up because it sucked and used the old player.

Thanks, soccerfan! Kudos to Fox Soccer for continuing - and improving on - Setanta's Football League coverage. The end to the League One season has been excellent, really worth watching.
Argetnina clausura is winding down. Here are the games on TyC (DirecTV 427 for folks who get Spanish language programming): May 8 6:30pm (EDT) Racing Club v. River Plate May 9 1:00pm (EDT) Argentinos Juniors vs Independiente May 9 3:15pm (EDT) Tigre vs Banfield May 9 5:30pm (EDT) Boca Juniors vs Huracán May 10 8:00pm (EDT) Godoy Cruz vs Colón I should add that it is foolish not to add time to your recordings if you are running your DVR, because games never start on time and half-time seems to run closer to 20 minutes. I always tack on an extra 90 minutes from the last game if I am recording multiple games and usually 60 minutes if I am just recording one game.
Just a warning for those recording GOL-TV and/or ESPN2 for the Real Madrid and Barcelona matches: both networks are showing the others goals as they happen. The only way to watcch these matches is on 2 TVs (the way soccer should be watched in the final rounds). SA
