Holy Kill Joys! You know what? Why not let people enjoy this? If you have nothing nice to say here, don't say it. Just this once.
And mine too. A thread about scoring a goal was not necessary. Could've gone in any other Charlie Davies thread and I would happily participate.
Could have been buried in any other old CD posts, you mean. It's much easier to see new news in a new thread. I don't understand why your panties are in a bunch about this.
I believe the BS bylaws for moderators have a cruel and unusual punishment clause that exempts appoo from having to do this.
I have scored over 20 goals with Charlie Davies in FIFA 10. I hope that helps him get in Bob's final roster.
This is the second time in a week he has read one post of yours and called you out...(the other in your revisiting 2002 thread)...when clearly your subsequent posts have had very good input. Seems he has it a bit out for you.
Appoo and I have diametrically opposed perspectives. His tends to be overly exuberant. Mine tends to be from the other side. Sometimes, however, he infers negativity to something totally benign. Other mods do too. A few months ago, I received a warning for posting the richest clubs list and noting that Gooch was the only player with the clubs listed. Actually, the only reason I brought up Gooch because I wanted to a) post the list as relevant background info and b) make it more pertinent to the YA board. But it was inferred that I was attacking the quality of YA's and thus trolling. Of course, even if I were attacking the quality of YA's, factual information can't be wrong and there was no reason to be afraid of that little tidbit. Alas, this is how the board works. Expect this post to disappear by tomorrow morning.
Yes, "alas." Woe is us. We have a part time, unpaid human being trying to maintain control on one of the most pissy places on the Internet. And now we're pissing on him directly. Mods have an impossible job, and I'm sure that job takes a great deal away from their personal enjoyment of these boards. I have no idea why anyone would volunteer for mod duties, frankly, and they have my heartfelt thanks for doing so. Because every now and then, through the constant flood of crap and useless posts (and I am guilty myself), I find a brilliant and insightful gem of analysis that furthers my understanding of the game. Appoo, thank you. You have more than earned the benefit of the doubt.
I've scored 0 goals with Charlie in FIFA World Cup 2010 cos he's not on the roster. btw neither is Beasley.
I wonder if he people know he is on the reserves in the game? By the way in the FIFA game he's very realistic he carries a limp and has a crooked right eye. The developers got it all right there.
Don't worry Charlie- The Bob's got at least one eye on you... But that 25 seconds you spent twittering? you could have scored a second goal. Leave it all out on the field man- Throw the smartphone in the trash- at least until after The World Cup.
Actually, today he hit one of the cones that was serving as a make-shift goal. Probably would have bounced in if it had been a regulation-sized goalpost upright. But it was just a cone, so while everyone argued about it, nobody could be sure.
oh bigsoccer, and how you never change. roflmao 11 ********in years and it's like the same thread over and over and over.
http://m.yahoo.com/w/ysportshome/so...&.ts=1272977368&.tsrc=yahoo&.intl=US&.lang=en Saw this just now while browsing through Yahoo! Sports mobile. Pic of CD with the caption, "US striker Charlie Davies, seen here in 2009... will not be fit to play in this summer's World Cup." Is this someone just speculating? Usually an article comes with the Yahoo! Sports pictures... just curious if anyone else saw this.
