Is Milan going to come to the USA again this summer after the WC?

They'll be there before the WC, playing DC United, some USL/NASL side, and I think one other MLS team. Kinda sucks that this is happening before the WC, so the star players will be in camp, although I'm not sure how many of our players still play for their national teams (Flamini, Silva, Pirlo, Gattuso, maybe Boriello?)

Just found out your boys are coming to Chicago. Do you guys know what 1st team players are coming on the tour? I can't imagine them coming right after a long season but my brother said he thinks those not on their NT's will be there. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

hmmm... I saw a list like that some where but I'm having trouble locating it. I will post it here if I find it again.

You can be sure there won't be Pirlo, Gattuso, Borriello, Thiago Silva and Zambrotta won't be there though.

i saw them play in Boston v INter last summer and boy was it boring. Sure i got to see greats like, Ronaldinho/Pirlo/Gattuso/Zambrotta, etc. All guys ive admired and watched on tv but to c them in person was fantastic. Too bad the game sucked and we lost, we are notorious for not givin a shit about friendlies(we lost 8 in a row last year i think). So as much as i wanna see this "tour" i have a feeling its gonna be even worse. No coach yet and the game is less than a week away, players still in nat team pools wont be there and vets wont be either..Im guessin a startin lineup of
    Abbiatti
    Abate Nesta Bonera Antonini
    Ambro Seedorf Janks
    Ronaldinho Pato
Inzaghi....................THATS if we r lucky, but im sure Ronnie/Pato/Nesta wont be there and include Primaver players instead

Well, I had no luck locating a list.

What I wouldn't give to see Nesta live... or any Milan game live for that matter. You're lucky you get the chance to see them. It's one of the things I have to do at least once in my lifetime.

    Here's the list:

    Goalkeepers: Dida, Abbiati, Colombo
Defenders: Diniz, Jankulovski, Netsa, Oddo, Terzi, Favalli, Antonini
Midfielders: Abate, Di Gennaro, Flamini, Seedorf, Blasi, Brocchi, Delvecchio
    Strikers: Mancini, Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Pato

Surprised that some of the more well-known Primavera players aren't coming along, like Albertazzi, Verdi and Zigoni, although I think there's some youth tournament going on that they're all at. Then again I don't follow the Primavera squad a whole lot, so maybe the guys travelling have been standing out.

Haven't you heard? He's our sensational signing of the summer that will lead us to many scudetti and champion's league crowns! Once we rehab him of course...

On a more plausible note, Inter probably didn't want him back :p. Actually, he's probably one of the many "borrowed" players for the tour, along with Diniz, Terzi, Blaisi, Brocchi and Delvecchio.

For all of you that are going to see them play, rejoice in the fact that you will once again be able to see Christian Brocchi play in a Rossoneri shirt! :D

The Primavera is still involved in the Primavera Scudetto Play-offs and they need their star players.

Mancini is officially a Milan player until June 30th when his loan contract expires.

Anyone have any word on how the Milan match went tonight? Was watching the US play so I couldn't catch this one, and I can't seem to find the score anywhere online.

i wonder how much the club is expecting to make from these 3 matches. are decent tickets $50? $75? top euro clubs must make a boat load doing these things or they wouldn't waste the time or risk their players. i suppose it has to do with marketing to american fans as well.

i checked prices to go and it started at 35/55/75 if i remember correctly. Its a shame the prices r so high because the quality is never very good. The players who r here dont rly care so they dont play at the peak, and the players who arent here, well you dont see them. Ive been to a few Milan friendlies in the states and they are always disapointments, just well because the team is on vacay.

I would imagine that Milan is either A) paid to appear/make appearances within city, or B) make money off ticket sales, prob 50%of ticket revenue..so if he stadium holds 30k, i could see milan making a few mil off the game today. In any case, Milan gets paid money, players get free vacay, and fans get to see Milan.

Side note: I remember the best Milan game I ever been to was in Ny/NY meadowlands when Milan played Juve in the Coppa Italia final. It was a great game, played at the begining of the new season,so July time period. Pirlo scored an amazing FK from 20yrds out, to crossbar in. Juve scored off an Ibra goal i think, and then MIlan scored the go ahead goal in the 90th min. Off the kickoff Juve ran down the field and kicked a "hail mary" type long ball that mircaulously went to Trez who scored tying goal, and we ended up losing in Pks. BUt great great game and so much fun to c all the greats...
