There is a sports bar in Cicero (Mexican food) I believe it is near the horse track, I have been there once, but I can not remember the name, If I remember I will post it here.

Maybe you all should list the bars that show soccer matches around your area.

I know thet Globe Pub and small bar are kind of far for you guys.

I'll bite on posting where I watch.

    Far Western Suburbs:

    Real Time Sports, St. Charles
-Have about ten thousand TVs. There were about 5 40+ inchers with the Fire game against San Jose, MMA was on the 30 ft. projection TV. The owner is a really cool guy from Honduras, so you better believe the World Cup will be on the Big Screen.

    Rendezvous, Batavia:
-Not a strip club, despite what my wife believes after reading my credit card statement. Little place with a nice bar/patio right on the river. They are always willing to play soccer. They only have basic cable, but all the games will be on basic cable, so no problem. Super cheap drinks.

I don't know if there's anyone else this far west, but there you go.

The Ale House in Oak Park will most likely be showing the games. I hope, since I live a few blocks away....

Yes, yes, yes-it is the return of OPB.

Of course, this thread is about the World Cup, not the Fire, and, for your information, many places that do not show Fire games will show the World Cup, since it is, well, the WORLD CUP.

But, please, by all means, do not let that get in the way of another copyrighted "OPB anti-Fire Rant ©."

Glad to have you back. I know you take a lot of crap (and deservedly so), but I personally appreciate your misanthropic, anti-Fire, anti-virtually everything diatribes. They make me feel happy to be alive and happy not to be you.

I hope you come to the Ale House. If I am there, and you announce to the world you are the “infamous OPB,” I will buy you a beer, in payment for the entertainment you have provided over the years. The consistent “antithesis to sanity shtick” must take some serious effort and you should be rewarded with a cold one.

Just got back from Avenue Ale House. Is someone following me? 'Cause at 8PM some kind of chubby guy came with his GF wearing a Fire Shirt and a Yankees hat!

All I'm going to say is - "Not in My House!!!!"

Sadly, that house remains your own special corner in Mom's basement.

I think Christian brings good luck. He shows up and the Champions League final is live on free TV for the first time in the history of the US (FOX 32!!)!

I'll be watching the Champions league final at Union Park (trying to support a fledgling soccer hang out) in the West Loop.

I've been speaking with the manager of the Ale House tonight and it looks like they'll be opening a 6AM everyday for the group stages.

Who's in if it happens? Can we spread the word and get a decent crowd out every day?

Aren't there laws against selling liquor before certain times of the day? I would think in the 'People's Republic of Oak Park' they wouldn't be able to serve alcohol at 6AM!

They may open the doors but no alcohol for you!

Congratulations on your grounding being over and getting your computer privledges back.

Even if the Ale House isn't serving liquor at 6am, we can all just head over to your place Bob. Your Mom's stash of sauce will be more than enough for all.
