After this weekend's results it has to be asked. For all intents and purposes, Arsenal are out of the title race. Also, barring a minor miracle, it looks unlikely that Citeh will take fourth from Spurs without a result of some kind at Highbury. What are you hoping for this coming weekend?
well, we dont play at highbury. what am i hoping for? really? van persie to repay the stamp on adebayor would be good for starters. a comfortable 3-1 win will suffice. maybe 4-1. is this a trick question?
Spurs finishing 4th, is better for us than Man Shitty finishing 4th, and what's best for us is all that matters. I'd also like for us to make 3rd place officially ours, so we need a win either way.
I named my pet snake Sophie because she would not eat some mice but would eat others. I want us to win v. City and United to win over Sp*rs. I don't want Sp*rs anywhere near us. Then I want Iceland to blow up a bit longer because I put some $$$ into my in-laws ferry business. Then maybe a hand-o in back room of The Globe.
Oh, Emirates. Sorry. Not a trick question. A couple of my Arsenal-supporting friends are hoping that City get a good-sized win to help them screw Spurs out of 4th yet again. Obviously if you still had something to play for I wouldn't be asking, but you're pretty comfortably ahead of the pack at 3. Responses thus far are more in line with my own views. Not that I'm an Arsenal fan, but if I was in this position.
If City get 4th, they will go on a spending spree that would make last summer's look tame. If sp*rs finish 4th, City are hindered for a year, and we get to watch sp*rs humiliate themselves in the cl.
Much as I dislike Sp**s, I can't imagine circumstances that would cause me to root for Arsenal to do less than win. Maybe a meaningless friendly against the Crew.
It hasn't happened yet, but why the hell would anyone on the Arsenal forum want anything other than for us to win?
I am decently worried about the possibility of dropping out of the third spot, and losing this weekend would make it that much closer to reality. I couldn't care less who gets 4th as long as we finish 3rd.
I want us to win. I really don't hate Spurs, so I don't care who finishes fourth. Both City and Spurs are going to spend more than us this summer, so while I understand rewinder's position, I don't really care. Trying to be dispationate, I like the Big 4 being broken and if 6 or 7 teams have an decent chance of finishing in the top 4, then that is only a good thing.
I would like to win but if we lose, I hope that it is a humiliating defeat that will shake up the club management. Honestly, I do not care about hating the Spurs. The rivalry we have with them is great. I was not born and bred in north London and was not abused in school by their fans. And I quite like Gary Lineker. On the other hand, I hate everything that Citeh stands for now. Every damn thing. It is like Arab pedophiles molesting clubs with candy money. Just goddamn awful! And to think two of our old boys and a bitch will suit up for them this Saturday. That is reason enough to hate them even more.
Val, this statement could get you a front row seat in Kangaroo Court... I think it's in the Arsenal supporters by-laws that we wish the worst on-field results for Spurs, at all times.
For the bloody Ozzies to admit that THEY are really the POHM's.. and that they never, ever, win again in cricket.... or rugby........or even that Webber bloke, in F1 Sorry mate....you asked.
