You also get a good look at the atmosphere. Can't wait until May 1st. We need this kind of crowd at every game!

Thanks for posting the goal! It was a brilliant strike, worthy of being our first-ever goal. I can't wait until the next match.

That was a great crowd you guys had. Excellent soccer atmosphere. Here's hoping you guys keep it up and that someone from higher up takes notice of what a great soccer market St. Louis is.

That 2nd sentence is very KEY. The crowds have to keep coming for someone to notice. Like we saw with Athletica, to have a full house for the opener means NOTHING if you don't have that every game.

Now, the bad thing is the staff has to sell for both teams. The Athletica has a home game this coming weekend, so they have to try to push tickets for that game....then you have AC STL at home on May 1st (in 2 weeks).

It's a game-by-game basis. Tough way to fill the house. You almost have to drop back and punt for some of the games and hope you get a decent walk-up. You can't sit there every Monday and say "we have 5,000 tickets to sell here in 5 days."

Judging by the number of official season ticket holder scarves, I'd say almost half the crowd fell into that category.

I'm glad someone got a good video of the goal. The supporters groups were at the far end, and while we could see it, it definitely looked better from the angle that the video was shot from.

I can't wait until the team scores a regular season goal at our end.

The United Knights also weren't even wearing the season ticket holder scarves.

So they've probably got another 60.

This could be a very fun year.

Lets try and come up with a few more chants. We could use a little more variety. Keep them simple..... Section 20 for life!!

Hey any idea where I can find pics of that game? I would love to get a glimpse of the ACSTL atmosphere.

Sadly, a friend of mine on the inside has stated the season ticketholder is not nearly that impressive. I hope the great showing on Saturday night will convert a lot of those people on the fence. Also we probably have a lot of young people that will buy single game tickets because they can't shell out the lump sum for a season ticket.

Have we got any real numbers on that? I've been curious.

I do know that there are several Eads Brigaders, though, who aren't shelling out all at once, like you said. My brother, for one, couldn't float $150 past the wife, but will probably be at most games.

that's the same situation here. We're a 1 income family, so wife and I made a deal and I'm happy enough just to go to 1/2 the home games.

I was told in confidence, so I don't want to say any more. Perhaps someone else has heard an official number they can share. I do hope that Saturday's atmosphere will generate some more buyers.

I was told by the AC St. Louis ticket sales rep a week before I bought my season tickets they had around 500 season ticket holders.

Nice vid. Love the uniforms and the crowd and stadium look great. I often wished Swangard looked like that while the 'Caps were in USL-1. Hopefully this is the beginning of something big.

We're hoping our 'stadium' has to grow for next season. :)

    Thanks!

We all hated the unis, at first, but they're seeming to grow on us.

I like them because they are unique and the colours go together. Soon as you see them, you know who is playing. Far too much mono-tone blue, red, black or white uniforms in NA soccer. In fact, I can't think of any other USL or MLS team in ACSL colours. The only thing (somewhat) unique with the 'Caps uniforms are the blue bar across the chest.

You know, you really have a point. When I saw them on the pitch, it was like, OH!

I get it now....and you're very right, lots of blues and reds in North American soccer....we do stand out.
