You lot gotta understand that Austin is a whole other beast from the rest of Texas, city vibe wise, politics wise, intelligence wise, etc, especially in the sense that out of the two presidents mentioned in this thread we know one of them is really from Mass. :D

In all honesty best of luck and I truly hope no member of the team , or the SGs, forgets ID.

And hey how about a smoke bomb/confetti popper combination for a section display idea.

There's only one good thing associated with "Texas", and her name is "Alexis".

    predictions?
I see us goin down 1-0 early then makin a comeback and pulling out a 2-1 win in front of an amazing crowd. Not familiar enough with the players for a starting line-up prediction

Austin has a few players with MLS experience, plus a few talented USL players from last year, it's going to be tough. I see a 2-2 draw.
I really wish we could have picked up Lance Watson from KC. He's Def (mostly LB, RB) and started a lot of games for them last year. You'll notice him tonight as being the smallest player on the pitch. But he's quick and feisty.

Unless some of these new guys in the lineup surprise tonight, I think it's going to be a tough game our boys. I watched the Aztex first game, and they looked pretty good. Gonna have a good time, soak in the atmosphere and hope for the best. I've been waiting for this day for a long long time.

I will be in section 13 and will be expecting a good performance from our boys.

I cannot believe it has been almost three years since the meeting Cooper had with the City of Collinsville to build the MLS stadium. I was there and would never have guessed that it would not be until April of 2010 for us to actually get to see football in St. Louis - and at a division below MLS.

Nevertheless, I am absolutely thrilled that we have a side. I am hoping that we sell out this inaugural game and make it a truly special start for AC St. Louis.

    There's only one Jeff Cooper!

I just might stop by section 20! I bought tickets a bit too late and have been out of the loop for a while. I can't wait to see the turnout for tonight and all of the different supporters groups. Having multiple groups actually gives some meaning behind the motto for Eads Brigade - "St. Louis's first and finest supporters group."

Won't be able to make the game tonight. I'm stuck down in Cape Garagedoor, but i'll be watching online just the same.

Very true. But....you don't know all of the details, which were NOT made public. Regardless, it's very frustrating we didn't get an MLS team and may never get an MLS team. But it is what it is and we have to support this team, even if it's D-2.

Good luck tonight (not too much). I'm personally very happy to see pro soccer in the STL after too many years of neglect.

Austin's first season was brutal, with too many growing pains, I'm very interested to see if your team has a similar season. I see some parallels with all of the college players we brought in last year, and all of the local boys your team has now.

Anyways, hope to see a good competitive game, with a crazy load home crowd. Cheers!

First shot on goal for AC St. Louis comes in the 25th minute from Stisser.

Good combination from Stisser and Bloom but the Austin keeper says no.

On a side note were early on but already a great display of noise and pyro from the supporters groups tonight. Even getting the rest of the crowd involved in a couple of the chants. Good show boys!
