unlikely, considering that they will be selling tickets at outlets for cash tomorrow (with no names even associated with them)

as long as the ticket scans, you should be good to go

No. If you pick up your tickets you will be able to take anybody in with you

No need to bother. Once you have a valid the ticket the name is irrelevant.

It is open, click on "Review your ticket application". Then under your application status you should see a button saying "Transfer Guests".

    This page is equally useless.

It does seem quite happy to let me buy more tickets though, even though I have the full 7.

I also no longer have any way of viewing my application. I could only do it before as there was a hidden white on white link in the bottom left corner

Anyone finds out info regarding resales, put it here immediately because I'm sitting around hoping FIFA will put a button up today.

Some might ask why people had to wait for a sales phase to start before being allowed to put tickets up for resale.

Good point. Wouldn't FIFA rather have a large inventory to try and sell than give people the impression certain games are not not for sale and then surprise them later when they DO accept tickets for resale.

Just goes to show you where their greedy minds are at.

Same here. I have a pair of tickets to three matches that I can't use. Desperately want to dump them and at least recoup some of my money.

I've been thinking all along this would be a great WC. Now, I think it will be a complete cluster. Busted my ass to find a way to get there and follow the US through the first round and couldn't do it for less than $6.5K each. Insane.

I cant view my application right now either.

I'm picking up tickets in early May for myself and another main applicant. I will take video/pictures. I plan on dumping tickets I cant use through alternative ticket channels. The machines will only read the mag stripe on the back of the card like they do at the airport. It's just numbers. The machine may ask for your confirmation number from FIFA. Keep in mind, the goal here is to easily facilitate ticket distribution and not put you through a customs process trying to pick up tickets. Most of these places will be staffed with a volunteer to help IF you have a problem.

I've spoke to people on the ground. In Joberg one location is in a mall where another store went out of business. Just a place to plug in machines and print tickets.

I'm guessing they are going to control the tickets using bar codes when you enter the stadium. Again, like an airline ticket. Seems ripe for fraud to me. I suggest when selling a ticket and covering up the bar code, seat location, section etc. That way your vaild tickets cannot be possibly "cancelled" for you violating the ticket policy in the secondary market.

I would have to agree with ClevelandFC, it is looking more and more like a cluster*. I have a bunch of tickets that I got in Phase I after being a bit overzealous that I am trying to get rid of. There is currently no way to view the tickets I currently have (let alone which ones I want to get rid of) that I can find. And instead of finding answers I am directed to buy more tickets. I am cautiously optimistic about my ability to re-sell my unwanted tickets before the game.

I was definitely excited for years leading up to this and have now sadly lost some respect for FIFA.

I feel right now that FIFA could care less about us. They got their money and are looking for more. Last thing they want to worry about is having to sell more tickets when they cant even get rid of the ones they have available right now.

Also bought in phase one - phoned +27 83 123 2010 yesterday and after eventually talking to an operator he told me that I my bid was successful. Had to give him my reference number and date of birth.

So how can I offload my spare TST-5? Where is the link on the website that allows me to resell my tickets? It is supposed to be up by now according to the resale terms and conditions. What has happened to the "view my application" portal?

Thanks guys. Anyone think there will ever be an option to transfer all tickets to another person electronically and not just those of your guests?

eg, if I have 2 tickets for Match 61 and want to trade someone else for their 2 tickets to Match 62, is this ever going to be able to happen?

I'd rather get trade value for my Cape Town matches than just sell them back to greedy FIFA, and have to pay them a fee to boot.

LOL you guys noticed this policy.... If your Tickets are resold, resale proceeds will be provided no later than 4 weeks following the final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

nice so they wouldve kept my money for more than a year and a half :)

Just put up my Ivory Coast TST for resale.

Are FIFA deliberately hiding this link to prevent us trying to resell?

Yeah, you need to read the policy carefully. You wont get your money back until AFTER the world cup. This alone is the reason I will not do this. I will the ones I cannot use prior to the games. The stadiums will be full. They will move all the final tickets to the locals. Once tickets start getting printed the secondary market will open up.

But due to the lack of transfer options, unless you live in South Africa the secondary market is inaccessible and therefore nonexistent.
