I know position doesnt matter . Im playing Centreback and i wear Mercurial SL Carbon limited edition, or Yellow superfly. The other Centreback of my team wears yellow superflyes too our defense have more expensive boots than rest of the whole team together hehe
i was just flicking through the internet and found these special custom superfly 1 - if they did superfly id then this is the exact colour i would get what do you think?
I have a pair orange vapor iv sls. they have two cracks in the sole. i know nike will give me a voucher. my only problem is that is it too late. when were the cleats released ?
i still dont understand what the big deal is about the cracks. can you actually notice the cracks in the carbon fiber while wearing them?
no you cant. but they are a little big for me. and i would rather have a 350$ nike voucher, if they fit i would keep them for sure..
Depends on how serious the crack is. Eventually, if you keep wearing them when they're like that the soleplate could actually crack into two separate pieces. That's what happened to me with a pair of SL's, at least.... But yeah, if it happens to you I wouldn't just leave it, I'd definitely return them.
i just wonder what nike does with all those returned SLs/superflies...just imagine a room filled with barely broken 300 dollar boots DDDDD
hey buddy keep us posted on what they say. My pine green SL's have also developed cracks where the sole is flexible. The 2 year warranty ends in about 6 weeks so i want to return them, but here in Australia i don't believe Nike gives out vouchers. So i am almost certain i would not get another pair of SL's back, but could hope for a pair of SF's. Decisions, decisions...
been wearing my vapor 6's around my house today and they're pretty comfortable. They're a lot wider then my f50.9s which is a big + for me
Just got these - and they are so much nicer to where than normal iv btw i just wanted to know what people thought was the best way to clean them help them keep their shine - i've heard nail varnish or something.
Just seen a pretty cool video of Chappy (the Manchester City kitman) doing a stud conversion on Patrick Vieira's boots, and also how he preps the boots for players before a game! http://www.mcfc.co.uk/video It's the video called: Behind the Scenes: Full Away with Chappy.
^^^ quality vid .. for those who have played semi pro college etc haven't you noticed all the kit men are either the grumpiest people you'll meet or real class funny guys hah my current kit man is the most miserable man i think iv met but that's probably because we all joke around with him haha
how much space should you be having infront of your cleats? i have about a thumb width or a bit less at the front of my cleats and i don't feel a difference in my performace. I kno it is ideal to have it as close fitting as possible, but is a thumb width too much? i have wide feet, so an 8.5 is somtimes uncomfortable if it isn't K-leather, but with a 9, i get perfect width, but the length as a said leaves me with about a thumb width of space at the front.
^^^ i like my boots snug but thats just me, you said they you feel the space yet you arent bothered by it so you pretty much answered your own question righ there.. there are no rules that say how big or small your boots should fit so if your comfy and your performance is not effected then your good to go
great video! very interesting. For some reason, it makes me feel better to see that adidas doesnt premake mixed sole boots for their players and not the public . although im sure they probably do for their big players right? like nike premakes superflies for Cronaldo mixed sole right? No way a kitman could drill through carbon fiber
I dont see why not? its just sawing a hollowed stud and then drilling, good video though although the kitman at chelsea seems to be more in the know about boots and stuff
Please help me narrow down boot choices for my 10 yo. He needs new boots and I would love some guidance on which brands/models to look at. He is currently wearing Nike Laser IIs which have been fine, except, even well worn in, they gave him blisters after playing a five game weekend tournament. I also suspect they contributed to a very mild case of planter faciitis (sp?). So, boot experts what would you recommend (he is only a size 4, so too small for adult boots right now) he would like something stylish (I know), yet comfortable, ie quick to break-in and appropriate for a young boy. Also, are special insoles recommended? I see that you can buy soccer orthotics that claim to help with planter faciitis, do they really? Thank you!
After a quick search to see what I could find in a size 4, here are my recommendations. http://www.shoebacca.com/adidas/predator-ps-fg-g03763.html http://www.shoebacca.com/adidas/predator-absolute-trx-fg-013026.html http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Ne=334&N=4294960675+427+4294959027+4294960130&Product_Id=545178 The Blue Powerswerve Predators should be fantastic. Although I wish I could find those black Absolutes in my size.
