Those look absolutely amazing. Is the leather the same color as you would see on a pair of legends, from the picture they look to be a bit lighter of a black.
has anyone noticed that the superfly II weight only 0.2 oz less than the regular vapor? now, now nike, i thought these were supposed to be sooooooo damn light. They are the same weight of the regular vapors, but the superflies will make me run 4 billion miles an hour faster than regualar vapors? For $400 compared to $220, ill take the regular vapor, just saying.
Superfly II are 6,5oz and Vapor VI are 8,11oz. Official weight from Nike. And Superfly II are $400, and Vapor VI are $240. Official prices from Nike. And then, there is many features on the Superfly II that are not on Vapor VI (well, from my point of view it's a bit disappointing that regular Vapor are considered as regular shoes right now). For the weight, 2oz difference are hardly noticable so you may be right on this one, but use the right numbers! And finally, if you are smart enough, you'll be able to have the Superfly II for $340 or so (and the same for Vapor, easy to get them for $200 instead of $240). Just saying!
yeh never pay full price they make ridiculous amounts of money on them so you can always get them cheaper. also i didnt buy the superflys for being lighter than vapors as there isnt much difference...its all about the fit and support you get from the fly wire. (and now the nike sense studs if they are any better than normal?)
Haha I'm wondering about that. Mine aren't really moving. There's just one on the left boot that seems to move a little bit, with a little noise... Other ones are like every stud, hahaha, good job Nike. But like you said, it's all about the fit (and the style in some way).
im not feelin crazy about those nikeID lasers. i love the blackout, but not the blue swoosh but hey if you like it..then theyre a great ID!
If you think about it, you really wouldn't be able to feel it, and it seems like a complete gimmick. Its supposed to move 3 millimeters. THATS LESS THAN 1/2 A CENTIMETER, how much could that really help
Superfly IIs arrived today. Got the Dark Obsedian/"cool mint" look and the color is pretty nice. Trained in them for a half of 5 a side and then switched to my Is, as they started to blister on the heel. Compared to the Is, they are as stiff as they are saying. I had a pair of Orions and then got the Yellow Is after the Orions split, and they both took time to break in but were never that rigid. Warming up felt great and the fit is superb. I stuck with 8.5 US, as that is what I wear in all Nike boots now, and the fit was perfect. Fortunately, I had accrued a good amount of vouchers over the years so these were more of a gift from Nike for the years of patronage. Interestingly enough, I slipped twice changing directions when I changed back to the Is. Placebo effect, perhaps, but I really liked my time before they started to get all "vapor" on me and blister. More to come, as I may play with them Sunday. As always, are they worth $400 US? Most likely, no. I don't think any boot over $200 should require such a break in period, but I am a sucker for technology and am hoping the improvements made will show that this boot is worth the expense.
How long does it take to break in some SF I. Never had any blister with vapors (exept some MV III I bought too small) So I'm kinda worried. I was also looking for a pair of SF Black/Volt. Someone asked me 500 usd! 500? what are they SF IV. I mean for 500 I could get some mercurial SL
my superfly i's took a long time to break in, about 2 weeks of using them about 3-4 light kick arounds a week, just juggling and dribbling nothing too much really, but once they break in they're definately worth it, only thing is the soleplate on mine is coming off a lot so i glued it up myself because nike australia wont let me send them to them unless i take it back to where i got them, which was ebay
it took me about a total of like 6 hours playing football, now they are just right an that was the blue sf which i said to be thicker
Really? i've returned about 3 pairs of vapors which i have bought one from ebay, soccer.com and pro direct. And nike australia gave me no problems they asked me where i lived and they said to take it to this nike store in sydney. the only thing is that they send you new boots back so you dont have a choice, thats why i dont think i'll be sending back my vapor SL's beacuse they will most likely send me regular vapors.
I dont think they will, but then again with the high prices on the vapor yea you might end up with vapors.... maybe hope for the best that they have a few sl's lying around?
Yeh i guess so, i mean i wouldnt really be losing anything since im getting a new pair of boots for a broken one. But im gonna wear my SL's until the end since they still got a bit of life in them, and then i'll decide i guess.
yeh mate i have the exact same dilemma with the SL's. The sole plate is cracking but i don't want normal vapor's as they give me bad blisters. Did they ask you to take them back to the Nike outlet in Auburn?
can you send them directly to nike in aus? because the guy i emailed didnt say i could, he said the store i bought it from will assess then send it to nike
yeh mate you can after you give them a call and get a return sales order number. i remember i sent you a PM a while ago with the details. If you got the boots from ebay just say you got the boots from a store in a different state so you can't take them back to them.
wait so, you return it to the place you purchased the boots from? does it matter if it's not a nike store? because I bought mine from Sportsco, and the people there seem to dopey to know anything about boot waranty...
