A new season starts up tonight, good people. Ortiz vs. Liddell over the summer? Could be interesting.

Not sure if you guys heard, but there were rumors flying that Ortiz does not finish the season for whatever reason. UFC denied the rumors in their usual tight-lipped manner. Guess we'll just have to watch and see what happens, huh?

Sideshow Bob has serious kicking power. That was impressive.

Was that the dude w/ the Green & Black hair??? I guess he was trying to be the Joker ;) I hope his opponents don't look at him like a joke. Dude had kicks, Takedowns, & punching power. Man, he re-arranged his opponent's nose

No, I'm talking about the guy that fought first. Yagear, maybe? The last guy in the intro video that you posted. Three kicks to the head and his opponent was out.

All 28 fighters were in the intro ;) Ok, I do remember that guy. The one from Pasadena. Right. He was powerful. There are a lot of guys in the house that have power. That one long hair guy w/ the JJ might be the key. Remember he was getting blasted, until he grabbed an arm & made his opponent tapout.

I'm in the tank for the guy from Northern VA, myself. :D

But yeah, there are a few guys who look like they have some talent this season. Looking forward to seeing if I'm right or not.

Capoeira. Nice. Gotta love some brazilian dance fighting!

I hope he has some bjj or wrestling to back that up.

Looks like that Yager dude is using up his welcome in the house. Big mouth & an ego to match. I guess going to Tito's team was the right choice ;) Match made in heaven. BTW, can someone allow Chuck to fight a real man....Just laughing at his comment that Tito never fights him.

One last tidbit. I thought I recognized him...Jake Shields is a coach for Team Liddel. He is the current Strikeforce Middleweight Champ. Could we possibily see him in the UFC in the near future???

Well, his Strikeforce contract is up after his fight with Dan Henderson on 4/17. You never know, you know?

What did you guys think of Tito's coaching after the fight this week?

It was definitely an interesting approach which I've never seen happen after a fight before. I kind of liked it but I'm not really sure how much of what Tito showed him would be absorbed at that point.

Yeah, it sucks you got submitted by a triangle but I don't think reminding him of the basic way to escape it when he's in a post-loss state-of-mind is going to help.

That's about what I thought as well. You could see by the way that the editors cut the footage of the training that they were setting up his loss.

I have to say, I've always preferred Liddell as a fighter. But as a coach, I think I'd rather have Ortiz on fight day. Maybe it's just because Tito is a loud SOB, but all I hear during the fights is his voice. I can't hear Chuck coaching his fighter at all.

Looks like the meltdown is coming next week.

Well right now Chuck got his fighters organized & in tune to his game plan. Plus the fact that they are considered underdogs. Don't forget the people behind Chuck. An ex-Olympic boxing Champ. The current Strikeforce Middleweight Champ. Chuck's Coach, who knows how to mold a champion. Chuck knows what he was doing. Personally as a Martial Artist, you would love to have the coaching that these guys are receiving.
