It must suck to be a Brann-supporter this morning. But then again, they have a proud history of getting trounced at home every now and then. I mean, if you're going to lose and embarass yourself in front of your home crowd, might as well go all the way, right? And I really wanted Brann to pound Viking!

But even more than it sucks to be a Brann-supporter right now, it's pretty sweet being a Start-supporter. It was really nice seeing Start take RBK totally by surprise and score 3 goals at Lerkendal...

Long time no see The two first round are over and there have been a couple of surprises. Ålesund has won both their games and is the league leader. Brann had a difficult start with a draw against Haugesund and lost big to Viking. Im am looking forward to the main game this weekend. When Vålerenga plays Rosenborg. I hope to see two attacking teams. If some of you want to see some pics and vids from the rounds, you can go to http://www.tribunekultur.com/viewforum.php?f=20
Rosenborg better show up with more determination in the back, or we may not be so lucky to earn a draw. Too many break aways were gifted to Start last weekend. I'm confident in our ability to score, I just don't want more games to be shoot-outs. I feel like RBK will re-group and beat VIF comfortably. RBK 3-1 VIF. It's on vifvaf!!
No reason to fear Rbk http://msn.tv2sporten.no/fotball/tippeligaen/-ingen-grunn-til-aa-frykte-rbk-3170347.html
Think you'll find few norwegians happy to call these guys yanks, annoyed that Diskerud have opted for USA when he clearly is norwegian just got an american parent. We're only just 4 million people in Norway, and need all the talent we got Mikkel Diskerud seem to have his breakthrough season this year, finally a regular spot in the Stabaek side. Left midfield in their 442 formation, he's allowed to be very attacking and mix it up with the two excellent forwards at the club. I expect Stabaek to be among the top 3 again, very entertaining side to watch as well.
Lsk - Hønefoss 6-0 Vålerenga - Rbk 0-0 A boring game with few chances Brann - Sandfjord 3-2 Odd - Haugesund 4-1 Ålesund - stabæk 2-2 Strømsgodtset - viking 2-1 Tromsø - kongsvinger 1-0
When can a player sign with Norway / Sweden team if player is not under contract. Is it only during a signing window? What are the signing window dates in Norway/ Sweden ?
I think he can sign when ever he wants. But he can`t play in the tippeligaen before the football association have aproved the papers, and he can`t start playing in the tippeligaen until the windows opens. But he can still train with the team. This year the winter window is open for 12 weeks and opens jan 8 and closes mars 31. The summer window is open for 4 weeks and opens 1 august and closes 31 august . I don`t know the dates in Sweden. But i thing they are about the same.
If a player is a free agent, he can sign with a club after the transfer window is closed and also play league games for the club. But first his contract and papers have to be approved by the FA in question and by UEFA. .
Ceres Is this true for Denmark as well, If a player is a free agent, he can sign with a club after the transfer window is closed and also play league games for the club. Thanks
I believe that is true for every league in Europe. One important note though, the player had to be a free agent at the time that the previous window closed. A player that agree to tear up his contract after transfer deadline will have to wait untill next transfer window opens up again.

Also why the heck doesn't Tor Hogne Aarøy get a shot at the national team? We could really use someone with his presence out there. Imagine him and Carew up front: no one in the world would be able to mark us on crosses.
I hope Christer Kleiven continues his stellar play for Start. I'd love to see a midfielder who is a real goal threat on the National team again.
I have to admit, Start has gotten off to a good . . . well, start. Let's see if it can last the entire season. RBK!
I have to admit; i've been staying away from forums so as not to gloat, but is anyone playing better offensive football than Start right now? Oh, I know the defense is suspect, and the squad is pretty thin, but damn it's fun to watch! There will be rough patches, but I think it is a good thing that Start - for the first time in many years - made almost no changes in the off-season. The last time that happened was in the off-season between 2004-2005...fond memories for those of us wha have followed Start for a while! (and no one has taken more points off RBK the last few years than Start )
The best and most promising youngsters in Norway and in Tippeligaen/Eliteserien. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article166298.ece
Aalesund 3 - 1 Viking, still in first place. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK8tDJdzGAQ"]YouTube- C-TLR05-AAFK-VIK-Q00E03-110410!417807,TRWM!(1).wmv[/ame] Tor Hogne Aarøy with a brace too. Cap this man!
Aarøy will play his part in the coming Euro campaign under Drillo. Due to his age I doubt he'll be able to play international football after the EURO2012 though - he's 33 already. He's a monster, don't think it will take long before Stoke put in a bid if they ever get a look at him Very underrated player, now in full blossom, and one of many that improve in his 30s.
