If he can add around 10/15 lbs he'd be perfect.

Definitely too much space between Vermaelen and Clichy for the second and Almunia should never have come out on the first.

I'm not quite sure how awful people realize we were in the first half. I honestly was kinda of disgusted by how they were just bullying us off the ball.

Their pace, passing and vision made us look like school children the first half.

I know when I watch these highlights on ATVO later, I'll probably count off the amount of times every single player on Arsenal got caught ball watching that first half.

That being said, adding Walcott to the mix provided a huge boost to Arsenal that most people weren't expecting to happen. His pace really makes CB's think twice about coming up and without that support for the midfield, it made Barca move forward with less numbers, ultimately turning the ball over.

For the next leg, I like our chances if our midfield looks like this.

    Diaby - Denilson - whoever

We won't have Gallas. I think he's done for the year, he didn't look good at all. When he went down, he looked exhausted and mentally checked out. That may be the last time he steps on the field as a gunner.

Weren't soft really. Just bad defending and goalkeeping. One of your CB's stepped up yet the other three defenders chose not to, leaving Ibra alone and onside to a simple through ball.

Exactly, when you are playing a game when we had 30% possession you need a player like Denilson who wont needlessly take a risk to give it away.

    The difference showed.

because he is in a position to make those risky passes, instead of going sideways or backwards. he CAN complete them.
if he doesnt, so be it, go and defend. he certainly can do that.

It was a terrrible first half, but we never say die. I love this team so much. WE are one of the best footballing sides in the world and we never buy anyone. IF we can get a new keeper, cb and Chamakh we are more than capable of winning things. WE ALREADY ARE! ARSENAL TIL I DIE!

Why? It is no worse than fans in there screaming bullsh*t penalty and this is rigged. Based on that tone they should be warned about language or any other rule that is ignored as long as you're pro Barca. It's like going on the Mexican national team board and getting an infraction for saying "hello." If it's that bad on the boards I might as well stop posting my opinion. Some threads are moderated like it's a dictatorship. Disagree with an opinion and you get an infraction.

by the skin of our teethes we're still in this tie...nice effort from the guys, not to give up. Almunia is trying desperately to make up for his shit.

I thought he did it before when he kicked the ball, pretty sure its when he gives the ball a good lashing. Nearly always is the knee with footballers, hope it isnt.

    i forgot to add, diaby.

    he was absolutely awful.
    in everyway.
    passing, terrible.
    decision making, terrible.
    defensively, terrible.

this is what happens when you grow with young players. they wont always deliver.

Hey, congrats on coming up with the draw. If I was a neutral I would have enjoyed this game so much more. Alot of hear shown by your team. Theo seems to like to perform in front Capello, put a statue of him around so maybe he plays like that every game.

Hopefully we beat you next week. Am pulling for you guys in the Prem.

    Well thankyou mr sarcastic.

Too bad the player you hate on so much played a good game and made a difference.

Its not rocket science, possession = shit. Put on player who doesnt take risks (you at least admitted that about him) and doesnt give the ball away needlessly. Result.

Yes thats how I break it down when is ********ing obvious.

Edit: to add many have been pressing for Diaby in preference to Denilson. Though Diaby has been playing well recently he was found out tonight.

Denilson did a great job winning the ball, keeping possession, keeping the game flowing. Something we had a horrid time with for the most part. We didn't need another midfielder playing killer passes, we needed sometime to settle things and keep it simple. He was perfect in that situation.

We won't have Gallas but Barcelona won't have their 2 first choice central defenders. I can definitely see us scoring at the Nou Camp and if we get our **** together at the back we will go through.

We all know this wasn't going to be easy.
