Shanary, counting on you guy this is a great tune However it's unfortunately only you me and bobby digital at the moment. Those lyrics were modified to the Revs over 2 years ago (probably a gadzillion pages ago in this thread actually). It'll be a GREAT tune if we can finally get it in the rotation. I think this one's the perfect anthem before the game to get things revved up. We need an action plan. There's got to be Revs fans in a band willing to cover the cock sparrar song with the Revs' lyrics. Let's make it happen then see if they'd play that version at the "STH" function at Fidelity Clubhouse. Get a vote on what people's thoughts are and if it's popular enough, put it into the rotation. If I had half an ounce of musical talent and the resources I'd do this myself!!
New England belong's to me (You better believe it!) A region's pride the dirty water on the rivers No one can take away our memory Oh Oh, New England belongs to me After listening to it a few more times I like the chorus only idea. My last suggestion for this tune would be that after each chorus there is a clap clap clap-clap-clap clap-clap-clap-clap clap-clap They do this with the toms after the first chorus, it the same clap rhythm we do for "Go, Revs!" If not the claps, just something extra to get us all starting at the top at the same time

I dig the Bragg song, would have to hear the other two in person before making a verdict. Just make sure everyone's on board and knows what they're doing if we try to execute these or the capo will be starting one song while the Rebellion try this song.
Surprised this hasn't shown up recently... so easy too [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNULzBPc8TA"]YouTube- The Adicts-Viva La Revolution[/ame] If we don't want to try to do verses of new england belongs to me maybe we can figure a way to join the choruses of the both of these... I personally would like to do verses if we can but I also subscribe to the idea of 'keep it simple stupid' in the thinking that may be the only way to get these to catch on.
We've done the chorus of the Adicts a while ago but it kind of died off. I think because while the chorus rules there isn't much to it (Viva La Revolutions..oi oi oi) so Bri I think you have a point with the verses but the song itself (as i'm sure you already know) is probably too fast for a chant. We've also done "(New) england belongs to me" a while back but also died off. I'll see if i can dig the words up from one of the old "revarmy hymnals" (beau maybe you have this already?). I'm sure it could use some major updating; probably has references to Pepe in it. Take Em All is a good one if we are stealing Sparrer songs. I think the one we did was... Take em all take em all Put your foot on the ball and shoot it. Come on boys Score a goal Just shoot the fXXking ball. Take em all Shoot the ball Take em all Shoot the ball Repeat. while we are resurrecting songs The Wild Rever (the wild rover) chorus always went over very well in the past; everyone stomping the benches sounded boss. Also a plus is that it lasts more than 45 seconds due to the long (but easy) verses. Beau do you have the words for this one? Tommy
I'm in to take 'em all but i know seattle is using that as one of there big songs now.... but hey f*ck seattle ha ha
Ya those re-worked lyrics for A New England are awesome. There are some good variations for New England belong to me but I think we should try to kepp the changes minimal, throwing in an extra word into the chorus makes it slightl awkward as is, I think if we change too much it wpuld make it harder to follow along wth... especially if people are trying to watch the orginal version on you tube.
I have gone through the original thread and plan to go through this one, listing the ideas that have been proposed but which have not taken off. Just so people can revisit these ideas without having to wade through all the comments and asides.(Lots of boring time on my hands at the moment.) Not quite sure where I will post them when I am done.
I love co-opting another team's tradition and turning it against them. As such, this is for use against our brand new foes from the City of Brotherly Filth. (Sung to the tune of I'm Looking Over A Four-Leaf Clover.) You're gettin' beaten, that bears repeatin', Just like you've been beat before. First in Seattle, that night in the rain, And you've kept losin' again and a-gain. And though you'll keep tryin', There's no denyin', your future ain't lookin' bright. You're gettin' beaten, that bears repeatin', 'Cause your side is utter SHITE! We said, you're gettin' beaten, that bears repeatin', 'Cause the Union's F***IN' SHITE!!!
Tommy I need to do some more work on "The Wild Rever". I feel that if I can get it to work it needs to start at small matches (US Open cup/Superliga) in order for it to catch on. I think that those sorts of matches are the proving grounds for songs to get into rotation. Nobody likes the rework of "Anarchy" my pride is wounded. Thanks, -Beau
An FNG here, but this is a song idea I had. It's based upon the children's song "The Old Gray Mare," which is most popularized by Ohio State as "We Don't Give a Damn for the Whole State of Michigan." http://www.scarletandgray.info/osu/...ww.scarletandgray.info/osu/media/michigan.mp3 Lyrics: We don't give a damn for the scum up in Canada The scum up in Canada The scum up in Canada We don't give a damn for the scum up in Canada We're from New England We're from New England (GO REVS) We're from New England (GO REVS) We don't give a damn for the scum up in Canada The scum up in Canada The scum up in Canada We don't give a damn for the scum up in Canada We're from New England Simple. Easy to learn. Adaptable lyrics. For example: Scum up in Canada Scum sucking Galaxy Bastards from Washington Harry Potter Wannabes And we'll put out the Fire Or any other version people may come up with.
