I present to you Steven Lenhart: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUP1AaQoXsg&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Steven Lenhart Dances[/ame]
A lot of MLS players are downright boring, Steven Lenhart surely isn't one of them. Thanks Sigi for picking this dude for our team. Hope he gets the start on Saturday so we can see some moves.
I wish I could also thank Sigi for Brad Evans, but we got hoodwinked out of him. Lenhart is a phenomenon. Because of his Big Bird BlondFro and his bull-in-a-china-shop approach to the game, everyone knows who he is now. He's much more widely known than someone of his age and accomplishments would normally be. I think someone ought to sign him for an endorsement of some kind, although I don't know what, exactly. He's sort of a Mark Fidrych kind of guy. Does any of that make sense?
In some ways, it does make sense. The hope is that Lenhart will be around much, MUCH longer than the Birdman.
Personally I'm liking the whole Vanilla Thunder from Planet Lovetron thing. In some really, really strange way the whole Dawkins thing fits our boy Lionhart.
I think we'd all love to see a 36-year old Steven Lenhart retire after a long, fulfilling career with the Crew with 175 career goals.
Well there's one thing in our favor on this scenario: There's not much chance that Lenhart will start 75% of USMNT matches for two years and then get a British work permit and head to Chelsea. Just saying. On the other hand, I'd take him over Frankencooper any day.
http://blog.dispatch.com/crew/2010/03/picking_and_choosing.shtml: This was probably discussed elsewhere and I missed it, but any idea why Lenhart's return was uncertain?
Lenhart is fantastic, He seems to me like Dunc's 2.0 A fun, funny fan favorite who with any luck will be with this team for the duration.
I understand Steve was at the Ckaddagh reception last night. Did anyone ask what he did that got him a red card in Toluca?
He basically said the Toluca player embellished a Lenhart death elbow to the face. Kinda danced around it.
