I Know there is a roster limit date at the start of the season. But what happens when players get hurt and out for the season, when is the last date MLS can add a player?
First transfer window ends April 15. Midseason transfer window is July 15-Aug. 15. Roster freeze date is Sept. 15. These are all as it has been. The transfer windows should stay the same. The CBA could change the roster freeze date, but I wouldn't expect that.
The transfer window only pertains to players actually transferring from another club, right? I.e. people who are under contract somewhere, but have their rights bought by a new club. A player out of contract can sign anytime, can't they?
So if a team has injuries, they could add a player at any time if the player is not under contract to another team.
