I still believe that there's people that want him out of Madrid, badly, and tonight has given them more "reason" to think and do so.

As much as i would love him to stay here for years, i am not sure he will survive the summer.

You know about his miss, I recall something vs Germany. He did a beautiful move to break free from the GK and had a wide open net, he could of kicked it right into the middle but he kind of kicked it in a wrong way and it trickled in.

Tonight has given the newspapers the ammunition to run their own agendas.

The only person who can save him is valdano.

I am willing to bet that we will trade higuain for pato or at least there will be heavy rumours of us trying to buy him.

 Holy sh;t you are right man! Someone get Higuain on the phone and tell him to shoot down the middle of the goal when there's an open net, not just inside of the post! Thank you for your brilliant analysis!

Boy how the tide turns so quickly. People loving him, saying he is our next legend yada yada yada. Now people wanting him out, willing to sell him, player swap. Give it a rest. First thing he does when he scores in a La Liga game, the keyboard warriors will say "oh you can't do that vs Lyon". A bit shameful, and if he gets this type of treatment in Madrid, then Pipita you should go elsewhere and show your talents off. Go to Man City and Carlitos is a fan of yours. Now I am glad he did not renew his contract, smart move.

If you see that goal against germany you will realize that he almost missed it by hitting the ball pretty much like he did today close to the post, the guy has a serious problem with technique as i think most of his goals are powerful and not placed shot.

And today miss was ridiculous why was he even rushing, he could have taken the ball closer as the goalie was pretty much on the floor or hit it more towards the middle of the goal, like that you have more chance of at least hitting the target.

But what i really question is,his lack of physical strength and balls out there,he was like hiding or something you couldn't find him,in games like these you need your forward to show for the ball but today there was no seeing gonzalo as if he wanted things to be put on a plate for him.

3 years and he still plays the same way as he did years ago in the champions league if it is just being physical that you need to do against him to put him off then i would advise him to not even think about going to the premier league as i can see him doing a reyes and coming back crying to spain.

He is the most efficient striker in the Europe right now but has serious shooting technique problems and can't hit for placement? you are idiots, I'm outta here.

Pretty sure I'd prefer Rooney. No offence to Pipita, I love the kid, but he isn't performing in Europe unfortunately, whereas guys like Rooney are banging them in everywhere,

Rooney plays for a different team with a much different strategy. His whole team plays for him.

Ronaldo is banging goals every where too, he could only score 1 tonight though. That doesn't mean that if we get Rooney he would've scored tonight.

Benzema is the much better player in the Champions League.

I'm not saying he would've either. Read my post a little closer, especially the context. I don't think Higuain is the best in Europe at the moment, and that is what I wrote.

It's easy to prefer someone who is not here I guess then when he comes and can't meet expectations you can just "prefer" someone else right? Where does it end?

Rooney was also a late starter. He scored a hat-trick for Fenerbahce then went missing for about a year. Pipita will come good, hopefully at this club, but he put himself smack bang in the firing line tonight.

The difference between higuain and rooney is the wayne does have a footballing brain and intelligence but also he has balls and wouldn't let himself get pushed around the way higuain was tonight and the same happened against liverpool last year.

Today rooney was holding off the ac milan defenders all by himself putting himself into arms way of very physical challenges and not showing some sort of baby being scared attitude out there.

Higuain strikes me as a player of the spanish team of years ago, very physically scared and the reason why they could never hack against physical teams but they soon man up and now are the best team in the world.

Gonzalo has to understand that these teams cannot handle him football wise so they will try and more manly way of dealing with him and right now he isn't showing any sings of knowing how to deal with these sort of tactics.

    What does that even mean?

What I'm saying is that Wayne has turned into a European powerhouse and scores no matter where he plays, is it wrong to say that I would have preferred to have Rooney up front than Higuain tonight?

I really like Higuain and think he'll come right eventually, but I was talking about tonight in particular, he was just way off.

Rooney has also been with ManU for 5 years, a team that does not have a great deal of turnover or instability.

Higuain and rooney are so different as rooney was never a natural goalscorer but has added that to his game as you can notice by his scoring form this year but to me what differs them even more is that rooney can actually think and do something out of the ordinary in and outside the box unless it involves shooting.

Higuain is an instinctive finisher as i see him as a striker whose brain is like this through ball shoot and he scores but soon as he has to think about it like he had to against sevilla at the weekend he is more likely to miss,to me he lacks the brain but also the technique to pull the sort amazing finishes top strikers like ronaldo, sheva, henry could in the past.

But rooney is better because he has balls and doesn't hide the way gonzalo continuously has been doing in europe in the past 2 years.

I think there might be about 2 or 3 threads here where you didn't post the same thing.

And the funny thing is you know he has barely watched Higuain play based on what he keeps saying about he has no technique. I think he only watches Real Madrid play in the CL and makes his assumptions based solely on those matches.
