Ok folks I thought I would just create one thread to cover the rest of the MMA World. Feel free to add an event. I would like to get the party started w/ info on Sengoku 12. This event will be broadcast via tape delay on HDNet on March 7th. Here is the card: * Middleweight Championship bout: Jorge Santiago vs. Mamed Khalidov * Welterweight bout: Akihiro Gono vs. Diego Gonzalez * Lightweight bout: Maximo Blanco vs. Chang Hyun Kim * Featherweight bout: Tomonari Kanomata vs. Marlon Sandro * Heavyweight bout: Yoshihiro Nakao vs. Henry Armstrong Miller * Featherweight bout: Yuji Hoshino vs. Nick Denis * Lightweight bout: Kiuma Kunioku vs. Leonardo Santos * Featherweight bout: Shigeki Osawa vs. Kyung Ho Kang
There's Dream 13 also happening the weekend after next at the Yokohama Arena to be shown in the States on HDNet: * Dream Featherweight Title: Bibiano Fernandes (c) vs. Joachim Hansen * Kuniyoshi Hironaka vs. Katsunori Kikuno * Andre "Dida" Amade vs. K.J. Noons * Ryo Chonan vs. Andrews Nakahara * Jimmy Ambriz vs. Ikuhisa Minowa
Re: WEC 47 [R] Did anyone else catch some of the action of WEC 47 the other night???? I watched a couple of fights. That was some very entertaining shit. Check this choke out: Dude went to sleep shortly after tapping.
Re: WEC 47 [R] I was disipointed in that card. I thought we would see a better showing from Torres and bowles. That s not to say it wasn't a good card I was just hoping for more. Did you see the pic of the cut on Torres' head? 3 inches long and down to the bone!
Dream 13 - March 22 :: Yokohama Arena Just to let you know I am following other promotions Here is the card: Dream Featherweight Championship Bibiano Fernandes vs. Joachim Hansen Josh Barnett vs. Siala “Mighty Mo” Siliga Karl James Noons vs. Andre Amado Katsunori Kikuno vs. Kuniyoshi Hironaka Ryo Chonan vs. Andrews Nakahara Yoshiro Maeda vs. Cole Escovedo Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Jimmy Ambriz
I would love to see this guy fight Brock Lesnar: [ame="http://www.metacafe.com/watch/3920335/mariusz_pudzianowski_world_strongest_man_mma_fight/"]Mariusz Pudzianowski World Strongest Man MMA FIGHT - Video[/ame]
Anybody catch the Bellator fights on FSN last nite? They are on thursdays for the next couple of weeks.
Looks like a lot of power with no technique. I'm curious to see how his lungs would hold in a longer fight. Isn't he fighting Sylvia?
Dream 14 [R] I can't believe the Dream promotion, but apparantly they want to go head to head w/ UFC 114 on May 29th. I should put this into a thread of it's own, but I will let Bison take care of that. This event will be fought in a cage Here is the card * Openweight bout: Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Imani Lee * Featherweight bout: Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Federico Lopez * Middleweight bout: Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Ralek Gracie * Featherweight bout: Yoshiro Maeda vs. Kenji Osawa * Welterweight bout: Nick Diaz vs. Hayato Sakurai * Featherweight bout: Joachim Hansen vs. Hiroyuki Takaya * Featherweight bout: Hideo Tokoro vs. Akiyo Nishiura * Featherweight bout: Kazuyuki Miyata vs. Takafumi Otsuka
Re: Dream 14 [R] This is a good place for it for right now. If enough discussion emerges, I can always create a separate thread. -- Sakuraba's a legend and all, but I'm not looking forward to seeing him fight much more. Very talented fighter over the years, but took some horrible beatings in weight-class mismatches. He's an old 40.
Re: Dream 14 [R] Yeah, but he is stalking another Gracie He is the Gracie Hunter. * Welterweight bout: Nick Diaz vs. Hayato Sakurai [/QUOTE] This should be the fight of the night. Both fighters have amazing ability. I wonder if Nick Diaz will try to make Sakurai tapout. I don't know if Nick Diaz has been suspended from StrikeForce, but I heard on MMA Live that Jason Mayhem Miller will be suspended for that crazy stuff after the Shields vs. Hendo fight. IMHO, I don't think that the fighters should be reprimanded. I feel that the StrikeForce Organization is resposible for letting that melee take place. Where was the security??? Don't blame Mayhem or the scrap krew for this. Blame the officials for the lack of security procedures
Lost in the confusion of UFC 114, Dream 14 took place on Sat morning here in the States. Dream used a white cage (which I felt was pretty doped ) I found this gem on YouTube. Enjoy: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDc0ssLiU-k]Nick Diaz vs. Hayato Sakurai[/ame]
What??? No one is talking about Werdum defeating The Last Emperor??? I see why Mr. Fedor went to Strikeforce. I still believe the likes of Gonzaga, Frank Mir, & Big Nog would provide major problems for him. & I didn't even mention Brock or Shane Carwin, who I think would dismantle him. Please stop referring to Fedor as the best p4p fighter on the planet!!!
I go out of town for the World Cup and Fedor gets caught in a triangle in 1:08? Bet he wishes he had taken that UFC contract now...
Dream 15 [R] This Sat there is another DREAM in affect in the Saitama Super Arena. This one has a Light Heavyweight Grand Prix. I know, it's not like PRIDE, but it's a GP nonetheless. Here is the card: Lightweight Championship #4 Shinya Aoki vs. #7 Tatsuya Kawajiri Light Heavyweight Grand Prix: #7 Gegard Mousasi vs. Jake O'Brien Melvin Manhoef vs. Tatsuya Mizuno Gesias Cavalcante vs. Katsunori Kikuno Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Karl Amoussou Michihiro Omigawa vs. Jong Young Sam Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. Daiki Hata
Re:Strikeforce :: Houston :: 8/21 [R] I haven't watched the whole card, but I did see the Main card: King Mo Lawal vs Rafael 'feijao' Cavalcante. Good ass fight. Does anyone want to discuss it???
We can discuss how King Mo is a douche, and deserved to be humbled for calling himself one of the best wrestlers in MMA. I'm a big fan of Rampage, and Mo has a long long long way to go before he can even imagine accomplishing what Rampage has.
qft^^^ Yeah, King Mo reminds me of Tito Ortiz. Great gnp, but no answers for stand-up. Once Feijao nullified his takedowns, it was just a matter of time. Feijao hits hard...Damn, that fool had King Mo wondering why he was even in the cage that night:
Nick Diaz-K.J. Noons for Strikeforce welterweight title in San Jose. ...Mo arguably won the first round and clearly won the 2nd when it got stopped; it's not like Feijao dominated him from post-to-post
