Nasri and Arshavin's runs were pure class.

It's the sort of thing you expect to see once a season, and we got two in one game.

Nasri and Arshavin were awesome today. Very good performance. It seemed the entire team rallied without Cesc and played a more complete game.

    Well done Gunners.

It was an absolute clinic out there.

Graham Souness has a point though, Porto were shite, especially in defence. Any 5-0 win in the knockout round of the CL is good though.

the nasri goal reminded me of titi vs liverpool from 5 years ago.
    cept from the other side.

and when a goal goes in off the post, for some reason i dig it more...
he just beat multiple guys, with ease.

i think im justified when i said the one guy we can afford to lose is cesc.
as we have nasri or rosicky to aptly fill that role...

    nasri was brilliant.

Nasri has always been better in the middle of the pitch. That's where he played at Marseille. I had an exam today so I couldn't stay home to watch the match, and goddamn what a match to miss. I normally don't like to download full matches after I know the score, but this is going to be the exception to that rule.

Amazing what can happen when you give a guy a few games to get over his broken leg and then play him in his natural position. :D

Ironically, as important as Cesc is to this team, he's the one guy we really have adequate backup for.

Hahahaha Bendtner didn't know you got to keep the ball if you scored a hattrick. Hopefully he'll collect a few more in his career.

I still don't get how the first goal was offside.

The replay i saw only showed about 3 passes before the goal. When was Arshavin offside?

    Well done Gunners!

    Nasri's goal was sublime.

I guess Bentdner had to shake off the blanks he was shooting against Burnley. Great game by him, I don't think there was one moment he didn't hold the ball up effectively for his teammates, especially when the score was 2-0 and the tie was in the balance somewhat.

Everyone is saying Arshavin was offisde on the initial goalkick - haven't actually reviewed that myself.

Nasri was really good today. AA was a bit to disinterested at times but I really cant argue with what he brings to the team.

Bendtner Had a very good game today as well. I thought that might happen, am glad he has a short memory.

All in all it is a happy day!

the initial header that the Porto CB totally missed timed; but it was so close and a tough call for any linesman, simply because the ball was struck 50 yards away and Arshavin was well onside by the time the ball got halfway there.

Someone mentioned it was a goalkick.. in that case arshavin couldn't have been offside cause you cant be offside on a gk

I feel stupid for not taping it. :(

Arshavin was MOTM for me. Despite a few bad touch early on, and a poor miss, he did create our first two goals.

It would have to be Nasri for me. AA gave the ball away to frequently for me today.

Not saying he had a bad game by any means I just felt Nasri was better today.

We need to get the media to go after our players more often.

Also goes to show you how off base the post game commentary can be on these players have a poor showing. How many people said they didn't rate Bendtner after his last game? Different story today.

You were spot on, sir. Cesc is great, but we've got a few guys who can pull the strings in there who could do that job for the majority of teams as a starter. It's actually pretty frustrating knowing that we have so many guys who simply play out of position. But no room for frustration to day. I needed to see a beating like that. Early goals???? I can't remember the last stress free Arsenal match.
