Please be sure to RSVP in order assist our planning so we can make the arrangements to make this event a blast for everybody! This should be a pretty good event. It's pretty cool of the Fire to make it happen. If anybody reading has ever wanted to check out standing with section 8, it's a great opportunity to give it a practice run, meet some folks, and if you are interested it's the last day to purchase a season ticket in 117 & 118 for the discounted Section 8 Chicago price. Come on out, it's FREE, and a great prestart to the season. Merchandise will also be available.
We're trying. Responses from outside "Section 8" aren't what I would say are perfect, but we keep knocking on the door. Everyone, come out for this event. Worst case scenario it's a free game!
CHICAGO, IL -- The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will finish its four-city, six-match preseason tour of the United States and Mexico with a match against the Houston Dynamo on Thursday, March 11 at 7:00 PM CT at the Carl Lewis Track and Field Complex in Houston, Texas. The Fire, 3-1-1 in preseason play, were originally scheduled to travel to New Orleans, but will instead head to Houston on Wednesday, March 10 for the final stop of the team's extensive preseason tour. Following the three-day camp, the Fire will return to Chicago on Friday, March 12.
Well, the worst case scenario is driving out there to be told it's a closed scrimmage, which is what the Fire site says. Specifically, it says the scrimmage is closed to the media. Is this definitely open to the public? Seems hard to me to let the public in, but keep the media out.
It's absolutely OPEN to the public. The ISA (Section 8 Chicago) had this approved maybe two months ago.
fire box office confirms it's open to public. is practice field a separate field? and if so where is it?
Practice field is on the northwest side of the property. If you can, park in the north lot, field is west, you can't miss it
Anyone know if this is going to go -- rain or shine? It sure looks nasty tomorrow, but we will take a shot as long as it is still going.
