Stewart Holden was always able to produce a spark for the Houston Dynamo and usually able to produce a flow of goals - Coyle hasn't even put him on the bench.

Oh I'm convinced, he was good in the MLS!!!! He must be world class!

As long as the shit round us keep losing then we are ok, Villa have just equalised against Burnley, and so long as Hull and Wolves are shit then there is hope. Pompey are down and out.

Because it's clear he's back up for our back ups, hence the short term contract.

Well, at least Burnley got dicked too. Oh wait we've signed an American? I suppose now we're going to be flooded by yanks saying we lost because we didn't play him.

They're building up to it on YA, you can just see it.

Ironically I think we'll end up signing him long term unless he has a blinding WC.

He'll probably be good in the Championship to be fair.

It's human nature. If this was a board with a lot of Portuguese people they would be saying we lost because we didn't play Ricardo Vaz Te. If this was a board with Dutch people they would be saying we lost because we didn't buy that Dutch guy from Swansea last summer and pair him up with Riga Mustafa. If someone from Oman was here, he would be saying that the legions of Bolton fans in Oman are currently boycotting Bolton because Coyle refuses to put in the clearly superior Ali Al Habsi.

This Blackburn game was very disheartening. In a situation where it's not immediately obvious how things could get worse, it's easy to imagine that just about any change would make things better. Personally I think it is inexcusable that we have only one overweight Paul Robinson. Just look at the great performance of Blackburn's overweight Paul Robinson and imagine how well he would be able to communicate with our overweight Paul Robinson, at the heart of the defense.

    LOL it was shockingly bad.

I will go as far as to say that our D-Day is saturday. Anything other than a win puts us in a good position to go down. Would the BWFC that played against Arsenal and Spurs please stand up!

I'm trying to find some positives about this game but I can't. There's not been a single half decent performance.

No, wait, Riga's looked okay in the short time he's been on.

    Riga's caught 'the guff' now.

good play between Elmander, Holden and Riga though.

Riga with a header straight at the keeper, good chance.

Great, a lot of first-teamers play, and the team still bites the big one.

Riga should have been in the starting lineup. And Vaz Te. And Ádám Bogdán.

Riga's really looked like he's got something to offer, MOTM so far for me.

Oh and Elmander's played quite well.

    Holden's been tidy if unambitious.

Holden did better on his debut than Donovan did. He also had more time to gel with his teammates. Nice to see him not give the ball away too often (unlike Donovan). I would've liked to see him work harder on pressing the ball though. I guess Bolton didn't really emphasize that this game.

    FT 4-0.

    Utter, utter shite.

Riga gets MOTM for me, but that's not saying a lot really. It may well be worth starting him with Elmander or Klasnic on saturday. Holden looks tidy, if mini Davies is still injured I'd prefer to see him in place of Cohen.

    Taylor is crap.

Oh and Taylor left the field when Riga and Elmander were brought on however Garnder was supposed to be the one substituted. Hey may have had a strop.
