After a lot of discussion, we decided it would be a good idea to get together and recorder a number of the supporter's songs to make them easier to learn and also try to increase the variety of our songs/chants. We've set up a recording session at Claddagh on Thursday at 8pm for those that can make it. I'll be compiling song sheets of our standard songs and some of the other ideas I've seen posted. If you have any ideas please bring them as this is the best time to try them. We're just planning on drinking some beers and singing some songs so come on down if you can make it. Two quick notes: -please don't reply to this with ideas for distribution methods for the recording, that is a discussion for another thread. -Mods: please leave this thread in the main forum this week; it can be moved to the supporter's sub-forum on Friday.

Great idea. Although Claddagh isn't really my stomping ground, I hope many show up there and I can't wait to hear the chants. I hope some people show up with new songs too and maybe have a link on the site so we can listen to them (and maybe vote?).

Anyone got that lame "Crew Anthem" from a few years back when MLS made a song for every team. Starts something like this: Ohhh ohh ohhh COLUMBUS.... CREW lets go With lyrics as SWEET! (lol) as these "Pick up a cell phone, call a friend Columbus Crew is back again"

I called Chris Wilson he is checking around the FO to see if anyone has a copy of the song on the MLS Cup 08 DVD. That Crew "Anthem/Song" is way better than the RJD2 one. I'll shoot it to Blake/Kevin/Clem if he gets back to me.
