    Road Trip 2010!
    The time has come once again to travel across the pond for the Arsenal America Road Trip :). We have obtained 20 tickets for a lucky group of Arsenal America supporters to attend the following matches/events:

    Arsenal (H) v. Wolverhampton – Saturday, April 3rd
    Arsenal (H or A) v. Champions League (CL) Quarter Final 2nd Leg – April 6th or 7th*

    Arsenal Supporters Cup – Date/Time TBD
    Legends Tour – Date/Time TBD

    *This match is not guaranteed, as Arsenal have to beat FC Porto in order to advance to this stage of the Champions League.
    You do not have to attend all of the matches to be a part of the Arsenal America Road Trip. You can see a combination of the matches (i.e. Wolverhampton and the CL Quarterfinal or just Wolverhampton). The trip will formally begin on April 3rd, 2010 and will conclude on Thursday, April 8th, 2010.

    The Details
    This trip is based off of a first come, first serve basis. You MUST submit your request through Arsenal America’s Ticket Request process. I cannot take e-mails requests for this trip. We have access to 20 tickets for the Wolverhampton home game and the CL Quarterfinal match.
    The CL match is dependent upon Arsenal qualifying for the next round in the competition. This match could be either home or away. If the match is away, we will be working with the club to secure travel arrangements for the group. You do have the option to travel on your own, but I can say that the Arsenal Travel is fantastic, and provides you with door to door service.

    The Road Trip will encompass a number of activities and events. The events have not been set in stone yet, so if you are looking to plan your flight and accommodations now, know that we might be doing an event on Friday, April 2nd, and as late as Thursday, April 8th, 2010. Also know that the Wolverhampton match could be moved to Sunday, April 4th. The December 2009 Road Trip had two matches changed from Saturday to Sunday (Aston Villa) and from Tuesday to Wednesday (Portsmouth). The TV companies dictate when the matches will be shown, so make sure to account for that in your travels.

    Legends Tour
    We will be taking the Legends Tour of Emirates Stadium sometime during the week between matches. The Legends Tour is a great way to see the inside of Emirates, along with color commentary by one of our very own legends. This past December we had Charlie George provide us with a tour of Emirates. The stories and insight were absolutely fantastic, and we got to rub elbows with one of the Arsenal greats!

    Arsenal America Supporters Club
    This will be the second AA Supporters Cup, and will provide you the opportunity to play at the Arsenal Youth Academy facilities. Please know that this is a competitive game of footie between Arsenal America Supporters and the Arsenal Staff team. The teams are mixed with Americans and Arsenal staff members, which provides a great atmosphere and experience for all involved.

    This match will require that you have molded cleats (or turf shoes), shin guards, and the appropriate attire to play on artificial turf both indoors and outside (the venue is dependent upon the weather).

    Non-Negotiable
    1. In order to request tickets for the Arsenal America Road Trip you must be a PAID member of Arsenal America. No membership, no Road Trip.
    2. You must reside in the US to request tickets for this trip. You cannot purchase tickets through Arsenal America for co-workers, London-ers, etc.

    Costs
    I usually get a number of e-mails asking about the costs of this kind of trip. Here is what your trip might look like:

    * Airfare – New York to London Heathrow – $700+/Per Person
    * Hotel – 5 nights – $120 – $160/Per Night ($200 + for nicer hotels)
    * Food and Drink – $50+/Per Day
    * Transit – $30-$50 airport travel and $20-$50 for the Tube
    * Arsenal Tickets – $80 – $120/Per Game.

    The ticket price depends on what Arsenal allocates us. We will require payment for the tickets just like we do with our normal ticketing process.
    So, you would be looking at $2,000 + or – or so for one adult to attend this Road Trip. The cost can vary widely based off of hotels, airfare, food, etc.

    If you are interested in going, please submit your ticket request as soon as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at josh@arsenalamerica.com.

    Amazing!...Superb!....what I would give to be a part of this.

    Alas, my last two visits to the old country, financially preclude me from
    joining this road trip....but I cannot applaude you enough, for the hard
    work that you have put into, what will be, a memorable occasion Josh.

    From what I read in the R.S.P.C.A. and Arsenal America reports....
    it shouldn't have been possible for you to have done that to a stripper,
    and the live animals on stage..... the last time!!:eek:

    :eek:Sorry........just my vicarious thoughts of AA road trips.:D

    A Scotsman who spells
    Whisky with a n ‘e’,
    should be hand cuffed
    and thrown head first in the Dee.

    In the USA and Ireland,
    it’s spelt with an ‘e’
    but in Scotland
    it’s real ‘Whisky’.

    So if you see Whisky
    and it has an ‘e’,
    only take it,
    if you get it for free!

    For the name is not the same
    and it never will be,
    a dram is only a real dram,
    from a bottle of ‘Scotch Whisky’

    Trip sounds very tempting. Hopefully things will work out: we will advance and trippers will get a home leg for CL.

    Chris, don't get arrested crossing the border with that haggis.

    Don't worry. I'll have to dress it up and make it look like a dog or cat. They won't know the difference.
