exactly - the occupant safety and the sign lobbies are not nearly as influential as the telecoms lobby
So after all of this great convo on HOA, we still have no clue if FSC plus will be on comcast by March 1st? I live in Miami, so anybody got any clues? I've called to no avail. Me: "Will you have FSC +" Comcast Rep: "Whats is FSC?" Me: "Fox soccer Channel" Comcast Rep: "Let me see if we carry that channel" Me: "No not FSC, FSC +" Comcast Rep: "sir we are looking please hold" It has literally happened three times, for them to finally say," we have no information, Do you wish to request the channel"
Anyone have any luck getting a reply from the Comcast Cares twitter feed or anything positive at least acknowledging that Comcast is aware of the existence of FSC HD?
I received a message on my Comcast box this morning announcing XFINITY. I Googled it, and it wasn't too descriptive, but did mention that there would be more HD channels offered. Anyone know if this will include FSCHD, FSC+ and FSC+HD? It's pointless to ask a Comcast rep
I called and talked to a FiOS CSR today and asked about FSC HD. He said they are in negotiations and look for it around March 1st. He might be confusing with FS+ but I will be happy with either. The FiOS twitter feed is getting annoyed with all the questions about FSC HD so they know there is a vocal crowd asking for it at least.
it might help avoid confusion on the CSR end if you request the station by its correct name, FS+ (not FSC+)
http://www.comcast.com/customers/feedback/default.cspx I've been emailing this Rick Germano guy a bunch keeping him updated to what is going on with providers adding FSC HD. I always get a response from his office. Probably better than emailing a CSR, maybe.
I also live in the South Florida area and was told tonight by a CSR that fsc HD and FS+ would both be available starting March 1.
FIOS subscriber here in South Jersey. Any info on FIOS negotiations with Fox Soccer to add HD? I guess it is wishing too much to have it available 2/16 to watch the UEFA CHampions League matches in HD
just post this in in the fsc hd therd ther is a forum to Suggest Channels to Add to FiOS. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-TV-Programming/bd-p/FiOS_TV_Entertainment
Not sure how the whole Xfinity rebranding of Comcast will affect either of the new Fox soccer channels being added, but I believe they are starting Xfinity up in 10-12 markets or something this week, so I'm curious if FSC HD will show up in those places.
I got a message through my Comcast that they're starting up Xfinity here...good chance that if Comcast anywhere adds FSCHD I'll be one of them...seems my area (western mass) has about the most HD channels of any Comcast area (I have MSNBC, Tennis Channel, ESPNU and a few others that aren't that widely offered)...I'll update here if anything changes
I just renewed my FIOS service yesterday in Northern VA (bundle contracts are now two years) and the rep said both FSC HD and FS+ would be available on the "Extreme HD" tier. I asked very clearly three times just to be sure there was no doubt. She went through the channel lineup channel-by-channel with me. Interestingly, she said NEITHER channel would be available on any other tier. You can view the bundle options here (click on "more bundles" to see them all): http://www22.verizon.com/residential/bundles/bundlesoverview/bundlesoverview.htm We have been pleased with FIOS.
I did not ask that. Maybe I should have. I know FS+ launches 3/1, but not sure if that means FIOS will have it from Day 1. I was just glad to hear FS+ was part of a tier and not a standalone $15/month like Setanta.
Now I am confused because here it says there is a tier above Extreme called Ultimate - maybe that is what the rep meant? http://www22.verizon.com/Residential/FiOSTV/Plans/Plans.htm Also I don't see FS+ on the online channel lineup, although that could be because it's still February. I definitely said "Fox Soccer Plus" when I asked and pointed out that it's different from FSC HD.
I will be making a call tommorow to ask that very question. Even 3/1 would be ok as long as we get the true HD feed. Soccer played in HD is soooo much better to watch than SD.
I'm in the 'burbs south of Boston, and I spoke with Verizon Fios customer service reps yesterday and today, and both times the rep had absolutely no clue of fox soccer hd or fox soccer plus. the reps did not know about setanta going dark on march 1, and when i explained the situation to them they both said they had no idea what would happen to channel 1009 (setanta's current channel). One of the reps put me on hold for awhile and when she returned she said she spoke with "the manager", the guy "who knows all about new channels and stuff" (the rep's words), and this person had never heard of fsc hd of fs+. as a huge football fan, this was very discouraging. i hope the reports coming out of VA are right - that both channels will be available soon. IIRC, the VA market has usually gotten new channels before the rest of the country on fios, or at least before markets in the northeast. setanta goes dark in 9 days; i have to think that fox/verizon are in negotiations to some degree. On a side note, after the rep with whom i spoke today told me she had no idea about the two channels in question she did tell me that they are now offering "globo", a brazilian channel for 19.99 a month...and i think in an effort to make me feel better about not having any info about the two soccer channels, she added in reference to globo, "i bet they show soccer on that channel." keeping fingers crossed for fs+ and fs....
Every Comcast subscriber needs to go to the following page, click "Suggestion" in the topic drop-down box, and request Fox Soccer Channel-HD. (Use the full name -- not "FSC.") And sure, toss in a request for Fox Soccer Plus if you'd like. But right now the main thing is pounding them with demand for the HD channel. https://secure.opinionlab.com/ccc01...0&referer=http://www.comcast.com/default.cspx
Hey FIOS subscribers. Go to the attached forum and load it up with requests for Fox Soccer Channel HD. IT appears we may be close to getting it, and the more requests the better!! Thanks, Bob http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-TV-Programming/Fox-Soccer-in-HD/m-p/161539#M4950
I'm in Chicago. Today they mailed out some info on a bunch of new HD channels coming after mid March (part of the digitial migration I guess), no FSCHD in sight... We just recently got Setanta in the guide (though with no info on the price, how to order it, what tier it's on, etc)
Doesn't matter because Setanta goes dark in the US starting on March 1st no matter who your provider is. But it's $14.99 on month and is a stand alone channel (no special tier needed). Enjoy it for a week I guess
BTW, can someone confirm that the regular FSC's audio is mono? The audio only comes out of my center speaker
hay coasterbob i postd this link like a week ago but any way it dose look good i have been looking at it and ther is about 10 pages of custums that warnt it.
