Taken the project offline due to lack of interest on the board here, and no repsonse from ESC gentleman whom I was in contact with. No worries though, I'm sure it takes time to build something like this.

    You interested?

no help because the guy wants to sing songs in his language... the language that is spoken here in THIS country and that those people who don't speak it SHOULD learn it, just as we would be forced to learn the language of any country we could move to....

wow- no spanish songs=no help.. sorry that's not right...

Considering him and his supporters group have no interest in singing in spanish too, you guys really should get together and get this off the ground.

most of us don't mind singing in spanish.. when it's one or two songs.. not half of the game. shit we'll be down to sing songs in portuguese, catalan, italian, spanish, but most importantly ENGLISH. variation is the key here.
spanish songs that aren't ABOUT cocaine, marijuana, and prostitution are always a good way to go too. and i think that we should not repeat the same song more than once per game.

Fine, so what's the problem in having one spanish song in a pamphlet? This guy didn't want to put any Spanish Song in his song book but wanted ESC to help hand it out. Sorry. So we said no thanks. Either way it had nothing to do with you.

I agree, thats why there is only one song about those things. ;)

blah blah blah. whatever.. i actually have no problems personally with anyone in such organization. i respect the esc, just saying us together as a supporters section need to have more variety in our songs and not be so ********ing repetitive. i felt last season like we would sing a song at least three or four times in a game.. really¿¿ come on... like i said bring on all the languages, but let;s not forget we live in a country were English is the main language. thank you.

and Spanish is the second most common language in a country that does not have an official language. You won't have to stand with us this year anyways so you can mind your own business and quit posting things on these boards about the ESC :)

    These are my suggestions:

Pompey86, stand with the supporters. Continue trying to gather a group of fans to start your little supporters group.
Let me be clear that all the supporters NEED to be sitting in the same end... BUT, you say you only want to sing songs/do chants when something happens, and not the other style of singing for the total 90, SO, the whole supporters end could sing that certain song at that time, and the other times when you don't want to sing, YOU don't, and the other supporters will.
I'm trying to be clear not mean, so let me know if you understand what i'm getting at...

Singing a song once per game is not a good idea i think... First of all, nowhere in the world does that happen and it would hurt the idea of having a 'popular' chant... For example, i know the roma fans most popular song is sung 3-4 times a game, i'm sure its the same with other teams too
Anyway, i agree that songs like the prostitution song, no cojones, and everywhere we go shouldn't be sung more than once, but others like 'as long as im breathing' definitely 2-3 times.

I'm just hoping for some sound unity coming from the end that includes RBN, GSS, and ESC.

There is a way to each be different and unique, but we must all sing the same stuff on gameday.

    1) good because you need to learn to play the drum on beat/in general- i mean you pay more in rent than most of us make in year no??(according to: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=19837151#post19837151) so get some drum lessons. hahaha
    2) i'm hispanic, so it's not like i'm trying to tell all of these people to speak english or die( reference anyone again?)
    3) Like i said i have respect for the ESC- my comments were mostly about the language of the songs don't matter which supporter groups sing em.
    4) i know english is not the official language, but it is the language with the highest number of speakers. anways...... all in good fun there bird.

umm..... maybe not even once- one is about doing drugs and embracing prostitution, the other eh... , but that third one- can we just add a "They'rrrrre great" at the end of it? haha

There is too much division between all the SGs. We're gonna all need to be on the same page in RBA or sound like shit. What is the big deal with spanish songs? It seems to be the major sticking point in this thread. Personally i like the spanish songs, i think they bring a different style then english songs. English and spanish songs should and will be sung, but the bottom line is it all comes down to who is there. When 09 started esc had a lot of spanish singers in the crowd leading the songs, as the season went on there were more song leaders with english as a first language and the balance shifted. If this thing works out like they (RB) want it the place will be packed with brazilians and portugese and we'll all be signing in portugese!

Just get over it... you can't create atmosphere by passing out pamphlets it has to grow out of real passion. hopefully the team on the field this year can give the fans something to get behind and feel passionate about.

Over the years, we have had a lot of spanish language songs because there have been people who brought them into the mix. We've sung them. Some we continue to sing. Some don't grab hold of us and fade away. We've been singing the cocaine and prostitution song since probably '97. We sing it cause it's silly and we're having a good time. If enough people decide they don't think the joke is funny, the song will fade away. Same goes with any english songs we sing.

We chanted in french for a few years after watching Victory on a bus trip. That faded.
We chanted in korean after some guys came back from the World Cup. That faded.

No one ever planned on the balance of english vs. spanish songs sung. Whatever that is, it just happened.

Can we just modify that to something like:

I'm Red Bull 'til they sell the team
I'm Red Bull 'til they sell the team
    I know I am, I'm sure I am,
I'm Red bull 'til the next rebranding

Okay, so the rhyme scheme isn't quite there.
