i was driving on broad street in Newark and i saw a HUGE advertisement on a bus- when i mean HUGE i mean like from top to bottom!!! hey they are starting.. and someone mentioned they have a billboard on route 280E too.
Re: Red Bull Advertizing I've been wearing my knit Red Bull beanie that they gave away last season, does that count? I think I might have a beer coozie lying around here somewhere too. I'll bring it out the next time it's my turn to host the poker game.
Re: Red Bull Advertizing I saw RedBull advertising in Hoboken this weekend on some of the NJTransit bus stops for the "The Stage is Set" package. It was the same poster/billboard that they sent out as email and the one you find on the RedBull MLS homepage.
Re: Red Bull Advertizing RBFO did say they were starting their advertising campaign in early February.
Re: Red Bull Advertizing the tunnel from the PATH Hoboken station to the NJT Terminal is lined with Red Bull ads, "The Stage is Set" with big photos of JPA, Stammler, Kandji, Richards, Hall, and the stadium.
Re: Red Bull Advertizing I saw an NJ Transit bus with a big ad for the Arena on the side of it in Ridgewood yesterday afternoon. They're finally getting the word out a bit. I was just thinking the other day that they should put some ads on NJ Transit lines after I saw a train covered entirely in Verizon ads.
There are posters on many of the bus stop shelters in Hoboken. Here's one on the corner of 6th and Washington. RB posters have been up for over a year now in the entrance of the Hoboken PATH Station as well. Haven't seen the new ones yet though.
If I recall correctly, the Red Bull beverage division is based in Hoboken. Seems like they've always had ads there.
Just asking (as an out of towner), why haven't they put up a billboard or large sign that would be visible to the highway? I have family who drive by the stadium and have no idea where it is and that it's being built there..
i've seen billboards on several highways in about 4 or 5 different towns in and around the stadium area, on buses as several people indicated as well as train stations. are your family 75-year-olds, driving on the slow lane at 40MPH with their left blinkers on....?
I take NYC public transit and sadly have not seen a single RBA ad. (on the other hand, Dr. Zizmor is everywhere -- "Thank you for improving my face. Thank you for improving my life -- Isabel R.")
All i wanna know is why no TV ads? I know its early but Considering there has been litteraly ZERO marketing of this team in recent years/ever would it not a good idea put something out there ASAP?? Not surprisingly the only TV ad i've seen so far was on a portuguese channel (SIC International) durring half time of a Portuguese Liga game. There basic premise... "Live Football coming to your town, come watch it... you know cuz it's live and its right there..." with a rendering of the stadium in the backround and like 5 seconds of footage taken inside the stadium 2 months ago. Im assuming they had the local Portuguese station produce it because its was... boring, bland and not attractive at all! Seriously this looked like the Feinsteins Pharmacy or local lube/car wash ads that come on all the time, all you locals will know what im talking about! Redbull needs to use some of that "Fizzy Drink" $ and make a quality effort not only on the local ethinic channels but MSG, FSC, FSE, GOL, ESPN etc...
Their marketing budget isn't big enough to do TV in New York. Costs are too high, too many competing messages, it would get lost in the noise unless they spent $ 10m or more.
driving home last night on the Turnpike north right by Exit 13 or 13A, huge Stage is Set billboard. Drive that way everyday, and while I don't recall seeing something else, I know it would've caught my eye earlier if it were there, so must be brandy new!
wasn't this around the same area the billboard was in previous years? I believe it was an Altidore billboard so I guess that would mean 3 years ago (single tear...) Hopefully these ads go further east and hit up spots closer to path stations around Herald Square (and other areas, where they are located is escaping my just got home from work mind). It'd be nice to see subway and bus stop ads. and I know I'm a broken record, but RBNY show LI some love!
