I bought a pair of these mercs for £120 on monday. Had a game on wednesday, and it was asthough i was a new player. Everytime the ball came to me, I could stop the ball completely dead every single time (caught it on my foot a couple of times from a long pass in the game). The accuracy of my passing had also improved immensly! These boots are amazing! It's as though I am playing bare footed! Also, I am usually absolutely exhausted after a game.. I played wing back wednesday (usually centre forward) and I didn't really get out of breath, despite being everywhere on the pitch. The weight of the boot makes skills so much more easier to do.. I don't get so exhausted after 6 stepovers, however after doing that in my preds, after sprinting a lot, it takes a lot of of me. Sorry, but I just had to advertise how good these boots are! they are by far the best boots i have ever played in.

Gerr>> good call on that one even though I think I have had this discussion with you and a few others on this thread before,its not really the shoes that made the diffrence in his skill it was his confidence but as for his legs not getting tired I think that may have had something to do with the extreme light weight of his shoes which is cool I am glad this dude found a pair of boots that he likes i hope his love of the shoes last as long as they do, they are pretty thin so I can understand why he fels the ball better though them, I just got a pair of Umbro Specailis and they are the best k leather boot I have ever worn( on par with the Brasil and the Staido) the leather on them is also very thin(thinner than all my other K leather boots past and present) which does give you a better touch so I can relate, Hey good for you man I hope you bag 30 goals this season with the Vapors good luck
I am not trying to rain on his parade and I am not dissing his boots. (like i could ever afford a pair of those awesome things). I was just trying to make him realize that it was all him and not just the boots. The boots are only as good as the feet that are inside of them. I hope he realizes that he is the one with the skill, not the shoes.
sorry, I do realise you have to have particular talent or skills to do certain things, but it's just i haven't been able to do these things in my old boots.. These new boots have just unlocked a few extra abilities that enhances my game big time, and I am saying that players of the same type as me (generally skillful type of players) should consider investing in them because they really do help! I just bought my Vapors today( my Specaili's ripped already) so far they are outsdanding i have not playa match in them yet but the diffrence in the weight of the boot is amazing it feels like I am wearing socks with cleats on the bottom I cant wait to see how they work in the game Sunday maybe i can bag a few goals like Henry does in these boots
Cool I'm glad someone can see where i am coming from! Not only will you have better control, but i find that the accuracy of passing will increase! It definately has helped me in games because I have got 2 MoMs for my first team out of 3 games with them on, and i usually play for the reserves.. so they are pretty effective! Goodluck in your game
i did a bit of tranning in them today and they are absolutly outsdanding i got such a clean strike on the ball with my shots it was great the diffrence in weight really is apparent when playing in them as well as the feel of the ball to foot due to the thin upper but I was suprised at the strength of the upper i got cleated and fully expect to look down and see a rip in the boot and it was fine i am very impressed with this shoe I think I am going to buy the replacable model too
