    The Team

    So i figured we could put to rest the "Name the potential team" thread since we now have a team... AC st. louis was inevitable i guess since the womens team is athletica...

    however, i dont understand why the crest is different? the new one isnt bad, but the original one and the athletica version i thought were pretty top notch...

    overall pretty exciting even if it is a second or third division league at this point

    I was referring to the discussion about the informal name, like Hoops for FC Dallas because of the stripes around their jersey.

    I absolutely love the name AC St. Louis. Athletic Club is a brilliant and classy counterpart to Athletica. I think the crest is also very strong, though I was somewhat surprised to not see the statue of St. Louis in the crest which has been in the STL United Soccer crest all along. Perhaps this is Cooper's way of distinguishing the NASL team from the potential, future MLS team? Either way, I think we're off to a brilliant start and I am absolutely thrilled that we finally have some football coming to St. Louis, even if it is not the highest level of league play, at this point.

    Great stuff today. Cooper has been handling everything with class. I love the name, logo, and I am excited for next year. I'm going to make my season ticket deposit as soon as possible. Can't wait until merchandise comes out.

    The Athletica logo looks a lot better. The AC St.Louis logo is rather dull.

    Hate the name. AC Slater? I mean, STL. I can't stand the European type names American teams are using. It's hard enough to get non-fans interested, now you have people in the US saying sides, boots, pitch, etc.

    How about a nma ethat reflect St. Louis? Athletic Club? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
