Maybe that's just a different style of dancing than you're used to. But his style of dance in the video is very common (and not bad :)) if you've ever spent time in any number of African countries. His style of dance matches the music that they're listening to. Maybe not for you, but trust me, it does!!! :)

When is the Eboue experiment going to end? First, he is a RB, then Right MF, now, what?
His attitude and inconsistency do not pass the high standard at The Arsenal.
    Ship him out.

What 3 players would you like to replace him with?

LOL, Eboue is a good squad player for Arsenal. You can't fault his love for the club - though sometimes his respect for the game can be questioned.

Maybe it is just me but the guy is looking around and scratching his head at times, also shunted to the background. There are times where his body language is saying "I dont want to be here!". Apart from that, the dancing is fine.

You mean realistically or in my dreams? lol. I know he is a cheap and easily accessible utility player, but surely someone in the reserves deserves a shot or dare I say it, spend a few quid. I mean he has been at The Arsenal for 4 1/2 seasons. He is not a full time starter, IMHO. So why not try someone else?

Love for the club? Who else is gonna give him all these chances? I know he could find 1st team football with a lesser mid table EPL side, but we ARSENAL, not Mediocre FC!

I think Eboue might be the best backup RB in the league. Unfortunately we hardly ever seem to play him there.

So play inexperienced kids or waste money to bring in someone who also isn't going to be a full time starter? Why throw away one of our veterans players who is versatile and popular with his teammates? Because he's not "Arsenal Quality"? What a crock.

Sure, why not? As I see it, the longer we hold on to him and he is not a constant force in the side, his stock will continue to drop. Let his supposed "untapped potential" lure other clubs.

Is your main goal money from the transfer market or winning trophies? Why hasn't Ferguson sold off players like O'Shea and Wes Brown, who clearly aren't "ManU Quality"? You are familiar with the concept of a "role player", aren't you?

I agree completely, with the exception that SAF doesn't insist on playing O'Shea on the wing..

But he does deploy him at 3 different positions, no?

Hold on, has Eboue won anything with us or been a star on defense or in the midfield? No, No, and No. Since Wenger and the board really don't want to put us in debt, my thinking only makes sense. If Eboue is still around in the next few seasons, I pray it's on the cheap.
Maybe his diving and whining attitude jaded me many moons ago and my usual patience for players to develop has waned?

Actually the answer is Yes. Eboue was part of our successful FA Cup campaign his first season. The next year he stepped in for an injured Lauren, and helped us reach the CL Final with impressive performances against teams like Real Madrid and Juventus. At the time he was hailed as one of the top young RBs in Europe. If he were playing in Spain, people would be drooling over him.

How? What's cheaper than holding onto your own players?

Yes, but 2005-2006 is a long time in the world of sports. He was deemed to be loaded with potential, my point is that potential has not panned out and he is 26 1/2 yo. Why not cash in on him now? If he were in La Liga, he would not be on Barca or Madrid as a RB or RMF...maybe Valencia or Sevilla.

So do you also blame Cesc for "winning nothing"? I don't think you can say Eboue hasn't panned out just because he isn't a full time starter. If Sagna was out for the season, i doubt you would be happy with playing Gavin Hoyte on the right.

As for possible destinations, he was linked with Barcelona just this summer. Do you think there is a reason why Champions League teams like Fiorentina and Athletico Madrid were also bidding for his services?

So why not "cash in" now? Maybe because this team needs some veteran experience on the bench. You've seen how it's gone the last few years with only inexperienced youth to fill out the squad. Do you really want to continue that cycle?

we're always talking about the lack of depth in this team. eboue provides depth that can play multiple positions. he has also looked very good when he has played at right back this season. he is a tremendous athlete and has been making better decisions. why should we sell a good role player with experience? we are not desperate for cash

And it has been a good year since he did anything really stupid like get sent off for no damn reason vs scum. He seems to have matured alot since the Wigan game where he got booed off and as far as I am concerned the slate is clean with him. He seems to be popular in the dressing room and is versatile so there is no reason to cash in for 6-8 mil or whatever number is being thrown around. Hes worth more in his role than the cash would be for us.

I don't think many fans realize the value of continuity to a team, so they undervalue Eboue. But of our current squad, only Cesc, Clichy, and Van Persie have had more appearances in an Arsenal shirt.

You are comparing Cesc to Eboue...WOW! What is this dig about "fans don't realize", like I just fell off the turnip truck because I'm not a member of the Eboue fan club.

Eboue has really become one of my favorite players since that Wigan debacle. He always gives 100%, be it for better or worse.
