Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II Im glad you forgot to mention the 4-0 Liga gave in the beginning. Also your right, we have ourselves to blame for this. With a diffrent format you would of been in the serie "B"right now. I completely understand don't worry. Being a BIG team is hard. You have to balance domestic league along with other tournaments. la copia piriatada (el barceclon) doesn't know unless it is on the playstation and with los apagones I doubt they would finish the season
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II Did la copa de campeones even start yet?? Where's the next stop? I mean we are heading back to Rio and you guys are where I guess having only two players who see regular playing time and taking the game as a practice is considered a big defeat.
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II dude take a chill pill and don't take it up the ass. These are facts. Am I lying or not about the scores?? you tell me. Am I bashing you guys? The same rhetoric from liga fans, it's like a broken record... "where is your team?" shutup with it already. You guys can't take being in a good moment with a bit of humility. I'd like to see you when your team is not in its glory days anymore. Be humble about it, geez. Barcelona had its days, err I mean decades, even Emelec had it, but you guys bask like no other in it, its annoying. Como se dice el que nunca tuvo dinero, y lo llega a tener se hace el ridiculo. I was just saying the "best teams" tied with a B team and lost to a recien ascendido Manta team. Don't give me that balancing cups and tournaments crap. Barcelona FC and Manchester United did everything, those are true big teams and their schedules are much more hectic than any south american team. Apagones!? Don't make me laugh. Quito has it worse! Who was the one that had to reschedule a game with River (uru) because of apagones.. PLEASE ... if u want to try and derail a topic with cheap not soccer related crap talk , informate antes de abrir la boca guambrita!
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II This is where Ladic in the Barcelona thread would say something about "los sufridores" or post a picture of a full Monumental stadium from years ago...I mean, look at your own fans! I wouldn't say that's humble at all, but its understandable because it's just called pride in your team and colors. Totally fine. No offense to you, I like your posts and as a fellow college student/Ecuadorian compatriot there is definitely solidarity but you can't generalize either saying ALL liguistas are arrogant bastards or overbearing to the point of exhaustion. I'd reckon to say that Emelec in their glory days and Barcelona in their glory days were not humble by however we define the word or action. There's a certain confidence that a team gains and that gets exuded through the fans during these time periods, every team has them all over the globe. Nobody in their most successful days were humble, and if they were, it'd probably be interpreted as inauthentic, disingenuous or even arrogant. About European teams, you're 100% right, BUT look at their budgets and the class players that these dudes have. Want to talk about deep benches, look no further than European giants, they're built for the long haul, and even still, on occasion you'll see a team like Real Madrid fall out of the CL and win La Liga, or United winning the PL but losing to Barcelona in the CL. Hectic schedules in Europe equate to a ManUnited playing with a second/third string in the first stages of the Carling Cup and FA Cup to save strength...when they get knocked out by the smaller teams, it's only because they were saving themselves for bigger tournaments. Makes you wonder why there hasn't been a winner of the Quintuple in England. There's no comparing Liga's schedule to Manchester United or Real Madrid, but there's no way to compare them on anything....CRonaldo makes more money than Liga's and Barcelona's squad combined! What is true is that Dep Quito was knocked out of the first round of the Libertadores and hasn't played anything but the local tournament so their legs are definitely less tired than ours. We even did that trip out to Spain for the Peace Cup, which was another tournament that nobody else played...it has been a tough year schedule-wise for the standards of Ecuafutbol.
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II Vamos x partes....1. were not you or barcelona (la copia) we dont celebrate being the first loser...excuse second place. Lets say Liga made another 7-0 today with manta, el chikito still won...sorry you "scores" still dont count. If it was with the real team then I would be yeah manta whooped us. Tambien se dice x la plata baila el mono, y por el oro, mono y mona. Too bad el dinero ya no compra campeonatos or we would have barcelona back to back champions Are you serious!?!?!?! Liga compared to a Euro team? Teams that have players making what possibly a whole team in Ecuador would cost. Last time I checked we only have 4 players that are not Ecuadorian*Espinola being an exception* FC Barcelona has idk 7 more or less players from diffrent countries and Man.U has like double what FC Barcelona has...of course they can tackle all those tournaments just looking at their bench you can make a whole new team. *Facepalm* Just drop it while you still can.
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II The question was who is currently the best team in Ecuador. Not which one of our teams is doing best internationally, or which Ecuadorian team has been the best in the past few years, or which team is the the best in Ecuador's history. Liga has to play the Sudamericana concurrently, and they're doing very very well. If that's negatively affecting their performance in Seria A, so be it. Yes, I think they can be considered the best Ecuadorian team of the moment. Emelec, however, hasn't beaten Cuenca at home or away in the third stage. Cuenca finished 5-0-1 and Emelec 1-3-2. How can they be considered better than Cuenca at the moment?
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II Do you see ANY Barcelonista celebrating second place??! I'd like to see a post where we are celebrating it. not mentioning the two times we went to a finals and got robbed!!! BUT actually celebrating it. Show me a post. STFU. drop kicked and b!tch slapped. no more please. same rhetoric... most liguistas sound like a broken record. p.s. DamnEcua is right .. we are talking about serie A ... somehow a few lerdos derailed the topic just to get cheap jabs and broken record playing in it. So many years they kept it inside, la envidia los tenia arrechos no verdad... now go ahead.. you still think about us even when you are winning tournaments. you guys still are more busy thinking about Barcelona.. that's sad. Go ahead use any minimal excuse to derail a thread and bring it to you favorite topic- BARCELONA SC. I respect true Liga fans.... i.e. fans before 2000. fans that saw liga go to B and stayed.. not bandwagon fans, that were rooting for Barcelona, Aucas, or even Dep Quito and then jumped to the glory hunting wagon.... coming out the woodwork when liga suddenly started winning matches for once. The truth is I can also use the same rhetoric... Barcelona fans in Quito itself outnumber Liga fans vastly. Sad right... but much love to the Quito fans and in EVERY city in Ecuador.
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II dude, there are like 5 of those , the rest are former hinchas of aucas, america and universidad catolica.
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II LDU4EVER .... thanks bro. I certainly don't mean all just a whole lot. I have a Liguista friend, and he is a cool dude and his father has been a liga fan all his life and I have seen the pictures therefore I know he comes from a true liga family which are extremely rare when you have Barcelona as the largest in quito and also teams like Aucas and Dep quito to compete with. I know it aint all the hinchas, but its easy for a lot of crap to be talked online where you dont have to see someone in the face- that's where true colors come out. I'm just saying, there are more than just a few liguistas here who are annoying.. to the point que me hinchan las guevas cada vez que meten el pico en los threads. Someone needs to b!tch slap them in real life. Thank God they don't run into me and say it into my face in real life, that's for sure. I aint tryna be tough online, I don't need to be, but I'm just telling you this because this the feeling they cause in a lot of others in here, especially for Barcelonistas, because they seem to find any little excuse to talk crap, yet they are the first to FLOOD the BSC threads here, I tell you, even with victories and good showings, barcelona is still a national pass time for these individuals, it's sad.
hey guys, im new to this.. but i think this is a good thread to post my comments.... as a person that has been a Cuenca fan for as long as i can remember... historically i can say, there is absolutely no doubt that the great teams have been from guayas.. Yes the Barcelonas and Emelecs of this world gave Ecuador the first sign of greatness when it comes to soccer. Those were the teams that showed South America that our soccer was progressively getting stronger and more competitive. What we are seeing today is the overall growth of the sport in our country. Liga, with their recent winning glory has proved to be the next step for professional soccer in our country. When all other teams were worried about the current season.. and winning with foreigners. Teams like Liga developed their cantera... something the other teams forgot and now that its paying its dividends.... other teams began utilizing their youth wisely.. including Emelec, Cuenca, Barcelona and others even Independiente.. look at it this way.. in some years the big teams will see what development of Ecuadorian players can do and they will always challenge championships... this in my opinion, Liga keep winning.. because every other ecuadorian team is trying to fight with you... our soccer is getting more and more competitive and we are gettin more and more ecuadorian stars out there. Barcelona and emelec will always be good teams, we just all have to refocus our priorities... Developing our national players is the way to go now a days...
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II Cuenca is on a hot streak, that's about it. As far as my comment, it was in the LIga thread before some a$$hole moved it and I was just responding to sarcastic comments like:" the 'best team in ecuador' Liga De Quito lost to macara." Etc AND the technicalities are bullsh!t, comon damnecua were both grown men, you and me know deep down in our little hearts that niether cuenca nor dep. Quito are the best IN ECUADOR.
If barcelona doesn't celebrate second places than why in the Hell did Barcelona PUT TWO STARS above their Crest??? Anyone remember how ridiculous and MEDIOCRE that was? This is the only FINAL barcelona is Playing right now. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QabjjNWSE8I"]YouTube- Maruri y Noboa. Fuego cruzado. 19 - Nov - 2009[/ame]
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II uh.. are you even old enough to drink yet? If Cuenca's on a hot streak, then it's been going on for years. Wikipedia says it more eloquently than I can: "Historically an undistinguished club in Ecuador, Deportivo Cuenca has had a recent string of success in the top-flight Serie A. They are one of two clubs outside of Quito & Guayaquil to have a national championship, which they won in 2004. Since then, they have been a near consistent top club in the country, including numerous Copa Libertadores participations." Like I said, I have no problem with Liga being considered the current best. I was responding to a comment that said Liga and Emelec were the top two, and I took issue with the latter being part of that pair. Cuenca is no longer a minnow like it historically was, so why not consider it to be one of the best of the moment - especially when they're #1 in the league?
Re: La Liga de Quito (r) PART II That's a low blow. Haha And wikipedia man !,,, ima go edit that sh!t right now.
Haha.. gracias viejo LDU4ever... been wanting to post for a while.. finally i did it.. and on regards to the Cuenca comments.. thank you. Yeah Cuenca is a small team with a shitload of financial problems.. but one thing that has come out of all this is a little bit of national respect, and a whole lot of national firms being interested on sponsoring the team next year... which looks good for Cuenca's next season as they try to take Cuenca's altitude and youth to go thru stages in the Libertadores. I think that if QenK plays the way they did on the third stage of the credife they have a legit chance.
yeah the guayaquil airport is currently rank as the best aiport in southamerica, however this could end in 2014 because sao paolo and rio are trying to remodel their airports and trust me they are going to look nice, like the houston one for example
Yeah, I was going to say the same about George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and I have been there numerous times.
I'd say that no airport in the US has really nice facilities overall...I remember going to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Frankfurt and a few other airports and just being amazed at their facilities....ridiculous. Here in the states, I've seen some nice terminals, but overall the airports aren't all that nice. Miami has a nice international concourse, as does LAX, O'Hare, and JFK... and as for Guayaquil...nice airport! Quito's is set to be bigger and better, but Bogota was also doing a huge remodeling or construction of their airport and it looks to be pretty awesome as well.
Guayaquil was supposed to build a luxurious super airport having all Connecting flight throughout the Region ( South American and Central America). This would mean billions of Dollars in Revenue for Guayaquil but the Central Government of Ecuador are extremely against it.
