Next time I'm in town I'll be sure to stop by. Should I give him cash or cut straight to the chase and give him booze? ;)

I know there are a lot of Barrett haters on this thread but I hope you are just joking. I know everyone is paranoid of Barrett seeing the field again but I don't think we will ever see him fighting for a starting position again. I am sure Kinnear is going to be grooming Barrett for his next asst coaching position. I am sure John Spencer will be getting a head coaching job to one of these expansion teams in 2011.

I think Dom is secretly grooming Oduro to be LB because you can't teach speed. Ashe & Oduro on the left side = unstoppable.

Ok, maybe not. But I'm not so bothered by Oduro getting protected over Chabala. Probably wouldn't have said that two months ago. Would like to see Chabala stay though.

I hear ya. Many are upset that Chewie is unprotected. But there is a method to Dom's mad genius ;)

With Houston's issues on the front line, I see where he is coming from. This is a difficult situation for all the head coaches.

Off Topic, but what is someone from New Iberia doing knowing anything about soccer. You must be from somewhere else and moved there. I think there should be a USL side in Houma.

I actually grew up between Lafayette and New Iberia, so I've been here pretty much all of my life. Though I guess I should say that my mom's side is all from Germany/Holland, so that would be where I get it from. My first match I saw live was PSV-Ajax in 1989. Kind of a good start. :)

I'd personally prefer Lafayette getting the SwampCats back, but I don't think that's going to happen. I even had season tickets! :( Oh well, back to fretting about Chabala getting nabbed by Philly...

I'm starting to think Chewie may not be the one to go. Nowak ran a 3-5-2 in DC, and if he's planning on doing the same in Philly, he'll be more in the market for CBs. Also, if he is planning on going to 4 at the back, Anthony Wallace wasn't protected by Frisco, and he's younger and has a lot of talent. We may be seeing Eddie in blue next year. And that will break my heart, though we do have more depth at CB.

who would you rather see at LB

    Mike or Wade?

Would you rather Oduro on our roster or Chewie?

Mike has started less games than OTP Ashe and is improving no end

would you rather ashe or Mike

    Thats my whole point here

Yes i was pissed last night and still am

    Its a disgrace IMHO

As Glenn Davis brought up on his website this morning what if Nowak takes Onstad?

Could happen but me thinks Pat retires if that happens.

I've wondered about this too. A GK like Onstad could make an expansion team's 1st seaon less painful.

again, I wonder. Do players in a position such as Pat's ever put writing on the wall and say "Peter, I'm in my last season and I want to finish it in Houston. If you draft me, consider your pick wasted, I'm going to hang it up."?

Many behind the scenes stuff happens...do not kid yourself and don't think the exapansion teams do not know the risks involved.

    Since you asked...

Any fool would rather have Chewie over Oduro, but I wouldn't kill myself if Chewie left, and I don't think it would kill the team either. I hope they both stay, they both have a lot to contribute to the Dynamo. The thing I really disagree with is that I don't think we're a joke. Everywhere I went in LA and Seattle everybody had nothing but praise for our team, management, f.o. and the coach. "Classic Kinnear" got us one bad call from the finals. I still believe in Dom. I think there's always a lot more going on than we know about. Until I see any sign that Dom has lost the support of his players or the management, I'll stand by him too.

And Oduro is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the Chabala discussion. We had to protect 2 internationals. Hainault and either Oduro or Landin. They probably figured Philly wouldn't touch Landin and his DP level compensation.

Personally, I would have protected Chewie rather than Ashe, but I can see the argument for Corey, considering the paucity of midfielders on our squad. Lighten up OTH.
