I want to learn more about the clubs, the league, and the rich football tradition in Spain. Any suggestions???

I heard "Morbo" by Phil Ball was good, but Amazon doesn't have it in stock. If anyone knows a site that does have this book, I'd like to know.

Morbo, by Phil Ball, is very good, with some flaws, and has just been re-relased with extra chapters. Go to:www.wsc.co.uk and click on books.

    Also:
    Barca, by Jimmy Burns
Tales from the Nou Camp, by Jeff King

And by the end of this season there will be loads of books on Beckham (three at least that I have heard of).

    Check out amazon.co.uk

You will find plenty of books on soccer/football on www.amazon.co.uk that aren't available in the U.S. The prices are a little high but the service is excellent. Phil Ball also wrote on a book on Real Madrid entitled: "White Storm."

Get "Puskas on Puskas" for some background on the Real Madrid squad of the 1950's. Nice photo in that book of DeStefano being carried off the field (at his testimonial, I believe) by Puskas and Stanley Matthews.
